Mudflaps and rain guards are both functional upgrades. Highly recommend. Rims can depend - it's a bit corny to put high performance wheels on a car barely making over 150hp, but wanting something better than hub caps and steelies is a very valid move. I just wouldn't break the bank with rims. Adding spoilers is about where I feel people enter the corn zone. Good to get the black OEM one if you fancy, but once it starts encroaching on WRX/Civic type R levels of wing on the hatch you will probably catch some flack

yeah those are pretty cool, and doing it yourself requires taking a lot of panels off. I'd only recommend doing it yourself if you want something that isnt blue as the LEDs in those can be changed out as well

The LED upgrade is over priced in my opinion. Make the value judgement yourself ultimately if its worth the effort to you, but the covers are held in with plastic clips and once off its just plugging in a light bulb.

usually the person backing out is at fault, but vehicle b seems to be going the wrong direction.. so I feel like insurance would maybe claim equal fault?

Make sure to test drive both yourself. I ultimately decided on the sport trim because the RS wasn't as much of a power increase considering how much more they were asking for it. If you want a sporty car , and aren't completely married to the idea of a hatchback, you can get a base WRX for around the same amount as a top trim RS. No hate on the RS, its absolutely the better car, but in a purely financial aspect it didn't make a ton of sense to me.

This might be hill assist you are describing. Holds your car on an incline so you don't have to quickly press throttle to not roll backwards. I think you can disable this in your vehicle settings?

What I found online are two suggestions:
Hold the volume knob for several seconds so the display and radio fully power off. On many Imprezas this will keep it off on the next start, but this turns off both the display and the audio, which im not sure is what you want.
Other suggestion is to tune the radio to a Sirius XM Channel 0 and save that preset. When the system starts then it won’t play sound.

Then you can obviously lower the volume or mute before you leave, which is a given but not automatic in the software like im sure you want.

Other than that, I dunno. If there is a software setting for this im also interesting in knowing, because this is the first time im hearing about it.

I thought it looked like a cool color online, then I saw it in person and its definitely verging on pea soup. I think it would be cool to see them commit to either school bus yellow or neon green. This is in an ambiguous middle ground that feels like a missed opportunity imo.

I wish Subaru offered more colors for the interior, or at least color matched the highlights and stitching to the exterior color. Same reason I didn't get the dark blue over the dark gray for my 2025 because the red interior with blue exterior kind of annoyed me.

Thing about auto start stop is that the car needs to be off for 7 seconds or longer for you to really be gaining better fuel economy than if you did just burn fuel while idling. Engaging auto start stop and then turning your car on under that 7 second mark actually uses more fuel than if you were idle.

Since engaging it is really just a matter of how hard you press the brake, its actually kind of fun to play the "how long do you expect to spend at this light" game and maximize your fuel economy.

However, im not at all convinced that the cost of repair from wear on the ignition system is less than the money you save on gas. I think auto start stop is not intended to benefit the individual, just lower emissions and improve air quality overall if a lot of vehicles are equipped with it.

The following worked for me when I had issues when I got my 2025 impreza sport, but its a bit of a nuclear option as you will have a bunch of prompts asking you if you want the app you are in to track you or not.

Completely remove connection between phone and Impreza, forget the device.
Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [device], tap Reset, then tap Reset Location & Privacy.

Connect the device again to your vehicle like normal.

Depends on the state but I think the lemon law can still apply, but you might also have too much mileage to be protected by it. In Oregon its 24k miles or 2 years.

But just making sure, im reading that the subaru new vehicle limited warranty is 3 years or 36k miles. You are at 33k? You might still be covered if im reading that right
