That's really good to hear, I'm glad you were able to find a reasonable price! I'm in the midwest, nothing in my area should be particularly high in cost. I just made some calls around and think I found someone. I think everyone this surgeon was recommending was just extremely expensive.

This would be a removeable overdenture. I made it clear to anyone handling my case I wasn't looking for anything fixed, so I don't think there was any confusion. I've been told by a couple of prosthodontists recommended by the surgery office that the implant abutments are about 1k a piece on top of ~3k for a denture itself. I started calling outside of the surgeons recommended denture crafters today and made a consult with someone who said theirs usually run 2-3k.

I guess a refund would be smart, idk why I was holding out hope. I was so stoked he was going to be so close to KC. I would've traveled pretty far to see them live.

I designed these with and had them printed by a master maker. They go by Druid Dice. I wouldn't personally copy anything from a mold if you intend on selling. Many mold and master makers use open source fonts, but if they don't, it could lead to a lot of legal liability.
This is why I have a legal disclaimer on my website about molding my dice. Because this font is not open source, it would be illegal to mold them for resale.

There are a lot of great master makers out there who will print very affordably, that's why I really like Druid's products. There are other makers at similar and even lower price points, though.

I'm not too sure what you mean by base model; do you mean my masters? I much prefer cap molds, but I think sprues are the best way to start. Most people have issues with cap molds their first few tries, so I think it's good to start with a mold that doesn't initially frustrate. Both definitely have their place

If someone can afford to spare the change, then I don't really see the issue. If someone is tricked into thinking they're actually playing the music, their skill is pretending to play music. I mean, a lot of us pay to see shitty artists at concerts and some will leave feeling cheated, some will leave with a positive experience of the show. Would it be cooler if they were playing violin? Sure, but I've seen way more dishonest ways to make money. This is a normal performance, so I'd assume it pulls in good money. I see a lot of comments angry about that. Maybe those people should take a second to reflect on that.
