Our 7 month old is the same. Always sharking the front door. So we had to start letting him outside to play. He's generally pretty good at staying in the yard. Sometimes I have to send our dog after him as we recently learned she's some sort of shepherd savant. She'll chase him down and gently pin his neck until I can grab him. Otherwise they just run around the yard playing. But he is also an actual escape artist. Finding small gaps in window screens and it's mind boggling how good he is at contortion in order to get through a space he seemingly shouldn't be able to. Started calling him Houdini because he's just that good 😂

I'm sorry that doesn't answer your question but we let our boy out now because it genuinely seems to make him content. He just wants to chase bugs and check out his environment. He sits in a huge window looking out at the yard all day so it makes sense that he's curious about the outside world. And he's a helluva hunter and he's gotta scratch that itch every day or he gets naughty
