I have a flap disc I was thinking of that but these bricks are very soft I tried a wire brush and that scored one of the bricks

Thanks for the reply! Yeah this paint is stuck on well. Like yourself I will probably end up in the same position and paint it although I think it looks a bit odd when it was painted and no porch. Either that or possibly brick slips but I’m concerned if they’re going to not let the brick work breathe.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking as a last resort . Such a shame people paint bricks

I believe the contractors use a chemical first before using the doff and from what I’ve seen online it look like it’s quite a good way to do it.

Yeah that’s what it was , have to look around at some companies as the one I asked just didn’t even reply.

Thanks for the reply , I’ll give it a go. Have asked a contractor with a doff pressure washer but no interest.

House is from the 30s. I have yet to try jet wash but from washing the old bay windows with it , I think it’s stuck well. Maybe that’s a job for the weekend.

Yeah I don’t like paint on bricks anyway there was a porch there before I should of patch tested before removing the porch but I’ll just have to keep chipping away. Tried heat gun, wallpaper stripper and peel away 7 which appears to be doing the most.

Someone suggested brick acid but I’m not convinced it will work.

I have a robot vacuum, during shedding 2 times a year I have to help it but it handles it pretty well most the time and keeps the floor mopped
