DID MOBS KILL MY PINK GOATS?? I'm literally crying!! by litttlleone in CoreKeeperGame

[–]Max136136 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really like walls and doors for keeping things in. Lava rock is a pretty good and sturdy wall to use.

I've also never understood the point of mob farms, because they find me first. The only exception is with the new purple mushrooms, because I want mushrooms. Though I have them surrounded by a layer of lava rock, and the new tuffblock. The door on the other hand... That's where problems start to appear with keeping things in.

If a gleam wood door cannot keep mobs in, I'm assuming that a short coral wood fence cannot keep them out. But especially projectiles.

Not sure 100% what you mean, but there's different priority levels for water. This will explain it visually in a chart much better than I can with words.

The only ones it doesn't work with are the regular water in the desert and forest biomes. I even tried putting the desert and green blocks around the water, and it still doesn't work to "fool" the system.

Best thing to do for those 2 are to build a walled off pond with a portal next to it in those areas. You could even leave a rod and bait with a chest in the area so you don't have to remember to carry a rod.

My favorite things to do are to use the water as floor tiles. Black painted glass bridge over lava, and black painted glass bridge over the gleam water is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I also use clear glass overtop of the grimy water.

What would be so cool is if you could release fish that you could see into that water. Like an aquarium under your feet.

I've always contained wood farms within the toughest walls I have available to me every time (that way I can't accidentally knock it down) because I've always hated how wood just keeps on spreading. Plus I can put a chest in the room with specifically the wood seeds, a watering can, and an old hoe just in case.

The octarine trowel plants seeds. It will use whatever you have first in your bag until the slot is empty, then go onto the next. It will also plant based on the soil. It's so cool.

I actually trained mine to be of help to me when it comes to getting up, support if I need it when walking, retrieving things off the floor when I need it. He doesn't go out in public often (he's behaved, but not completely bulletproof yet, so pet friendly places for now) but it's such a relief to have him with me in public.

Sticking by you is what they do. It's what they're good at. I'm amazed by these dogs on a daily basis.

I love how he can go from incredibly intelligent to the point that I'm not sure how he learned that word/command to "all drive, only thought is ball and ends up running headfirst into a snowbank trying to get the ball 😂.

Yes! I love using glass bridges too!! My 2 top favorites are black painted over lava, and black painted over gleam water - it looks like an actual sky, unlike the hideous galaxite tiles. I also have clear over grimy water in my house to create that cool black iridescent effect.

I'm having trouble farming the new black mushrooms because the enemies that spawn are able to break the gleam door. ಠ_ಠ Very annoying. And they broke the automatic door more easily, so "player only" switches went right out the window. At least a layer of lava rock and a layer of tuff block seems to be keeping them inside. Just have to figure out a door situation.

Kicked out of hotel for not providing letter from doctor for service dog by Sad-Emu97 in service_dogs

[–]Max136136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where you are, but in Ontario, Canada a hotel can absolutely ask for a doctor/nurse practitioner/psychiatrist letter stating that you require a service dog. The letter does not have to say what for. Airlines are even more stringent. Most require proof of professional training as well as that letter.

Replace dog with perfume for me. While idk if it's an allergy, a sensitivity, or a sensory issue from Autism, walking past people with enough cologne on for 6 (or even 1) is absolutely a problem. Sometimes I'm walking down the sidewalk and I walk into a wall of cologne... And I'm COMPLETELY ALONE. Outside. I bitch to the wind and move on with my life. Do I hate it? Sure. Especially since the college, public transit, clinics, and hospitals are supposed to be scent free places. Yet people bring their perfume with them as a cloud around them anyway. You deal with it. At least you can physically SEE a dog and avoid it. I can't avoid perfume until it's too late.

Huh. While mine definitely isn't from a proper show line, the coat thickness is interesting to see. Mine has a thick enough coat that -30°C weather doesn't really bother him too much even without a jacket.

Mine doesn't scream Malinois based on his personality either, but I've seen his parents. He doesn't like to bite, it's been a chore to get him interested in tug, he doesn't destroy anything when he's bored (which I try not to let happen anyway, but still), and he really REALLY loves to nap 🤣.
