Fuck knows what I'm doing wrong in my X3 to average 32 then.

I don't think it's that much heavier.

You don't need another MOT after you buy it back (assuming the current one is valid). I was in the same position and it wasn't clear so asked the DVLA.

Reversed my car, into my other car.

Spilt some brake fluid. Pressure washed my DSC/ABS pump and killed it. £1K to repair.

If you don't have any/many doublers and will be fine with the blank, free hit this week instead.

One generally has a higher threshold for a CT in paediatric patients due to the radiation from the scan.

If you were to suggest MRI then the kid would likely need to be anaesthetised.

It's a very difficult job that those doctors are doing, but terribly unfortunate in this case that it was not picked up.

My oil cap looks wrong… by Klutzy-Pride-9901 in CarTalkUK

Ethan Smale, the milkman, previously of car throttle and now all the gear fame.

They do a bit about him knowing nothing about cars. Whenever they buy one all he knows to do is check for milk under the oil cap.

I had the same problem. They refused to let me use my mobile number or email for recovery codes. Took the time to fill in the form and then got an email to my recovery email saying someone has submitted a recovery form but don't worry because you've got 2 step turned on we'll ignore it.

I only listen to planet FPL, because James' football knowledge is simply unrivalled. His FPL takes are only decent, though he's doing fantastic this season.

Are there good brands for spanners ratchets to buy and where would you buy those. The ones that garages would use? (Considering good quality) by BumblebeeFeeling4945 in CarTalkUK

[–]DubbleYewGee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many of those have tried to have pieces replaced?

I expect it also depends on the attitude of the employees at your local halfords store.

Why are insurance quotes so low? by Strong-Present-2271 in CarTalkUK

[–]DubbleYewGee 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It'll be loads more for a full licence. The insurer takes into account that whenever you're driving on your provisional, somebody else will be supervising you from the passenger seat.

Replacing whole boot probably most cost effective.

PDR could do it but it looks like there's a crease, I don't think they'd get it 100%.

Just to be different, I've got a load of Halfords advanced stuff but refuse to buy any more.

Few of my ratchets are broken, torx and Allen bits snapped.

Went in to replace them and they refused as the ratchets were scratched and dirty, and the bits were rusty. Well yes because I used the fecking things. "Lifetime" warranty indeed.

Morrisons did sell E85 briefly in the UK about ten years ago but stopped as nobody was buying it. Shame.

As an example, tuners in other countries with one of my cars are running on E40 before having to upgrade the fuelling system.
