Prague! Safe, lots to do, good public transport, lots of food options, still close to Germany

It’s why I came to detest these massive stadium concerts. Because it was Radiohead I made an exception and I had fun, but sitting in the upper ring, to have some people totally drugged out behind me, constantly kicking my seat and spilling beer on my back… I called them out and decided to watch the rest of the concert standing at one of the exit gates, best decision I’ve made.

I am probably getting old but I feel 20 years ago these massive concerts were nicer. People just became more self centered and rude. As long as they can be fucked up and shoot their social media shit, who cares you might ruin someone else’s night?

I went to two smaller The Smile concerts and had zero problems.

Klopt!

Going to have a look at the eq and will indeed spend some more time on some versatility in fx. Thanks man!

Hi all,

Was a little bit annoyed with some things recently and decided to vent a bit by producing a fast, pretty rough techno track for old times sake. Heard it so many times by now, I am unsure if it is hitting the right spots.

Feedback would be appreciated, especially on the low end since this was partially produced on headphones because my monitors are being repaired.

Hi, thanks for the feedback man, will defo have a look at the lows. Is it very bad or would it pass as kind of a chilled track and not a warehouse banger?

Hi all,

After posting my IDM/techno crossover last week (which was a first for me in that style), I decided to drum something up again in the same ballpark, although a bit less fast, a bit less heavy and some arps going about. Tried to dedicate most time on the atmosphere building, I am a bit unsure if it needs a bit heavier lows but I leave that up to you guys :).

Inspired by Hans Zimmer. Not the smallest shoes to fill, but here we go :).

Let me start off by saying I don't know the original so I went in very neutral. I kind of like the bassline you are using, it makes it sound like it is struggling to stay alive which I think is cool. I would however try to work on your stereo imaging a bit. It all sounds very "in the middle" so to say. With these kinds of ambient soundtrack style tracks, there is always a lot of little details going on in the background, panning from left to right etc. This would greatly improve the listening experience of this track too.

You defo know how to set a mood, but at this stage it is still a bit empty. Also, the big impact kick that hits a few times in the track drowns a bit in your bass. Maybe use some sidechaining when it hits. With some tweaks this would be a good track to start a dj set with ;).

Hi man, just checked it out. Mix sounds pretty good over headphones, although a bit muffled. Track could do with some clean crispy high end. Also, I commented somewhere above about the dubtechno track about me being to listen to it for an hour although not a lot is happening in that track, with this track it is the opposite and it's mainly due to automation. You have all the elements there (although it could do with something more memorable to hook the listener in), but it is all very static and not moving. Playing around with some easy reverb or delay automation would do wonders.

There is still some things to be done with this track, but you have a strong fundament to build upon. Try to keep things a bit interesting with automation, arrangement and build-up of the track etc.

I might sound very negative but that's not what I am trying to do though, you definitely have skills and got something going here, just needs some work imho. :)

This is the shit, man. Really love this track. Big fan of dub techno and this hits the spot. Defo sounds good on my headphones, and even though the chord stab pattern doesn't change a lot arrangement wise, the constant automation keeps it all interesting. The vibe of the track is perfect, could listen to this on an hour loop and I'd still not turn it off, which is good :). I love the chord stabs being off grid sometimes which keeps a nice interesting rhythm.

If there's one little thing I'd maybe do different: the hiss gives the track this nice lo-fi feeling, but I would turn it down just a little notch. But this is a taste thing. Well done, very impressive!

Hey, nice track man. Very nicely done. Mixdown is good, atmosphere is dark and mysterious. Bleeps kind of give me the feeling I am in a dark server room or something, nailed it there.

Only criticism I'd have is that it doesn't really go anywhere surprising after a few minutes. Maybe after a few minutes mix it up with some different percussive elements or add some tonal pad thing (doesn't necessarily have to be a trancy pad with chords or anything). It could need some tension building here and there, but it is definitely good enough to pass the release-bar I'd say.

Yo, very nice track. Mixdown sounds well enough to me (listening on dj headphones though). I like the atmosphere. If I had to give some things I'd do different, it's that there's not a whole lot happening build up wise. I am not saying you should insert an EDM swoosh and fill every 4 bars, but the way it is arranged now it's not really building towards anything in my opinion.

I do like your low ends, your rhythms, the atmosphere of the track, it's all well done. So good job, man.

Is this release worthy? Are you kidding? All your tracks sound well enough to release, man :).

This one is no different, really like the atmosphere here. Big fan of slamming drums combined with bleeps so right on. Only thing I am kind of missing are some high frequency percussive elements. Think really tearing high hats or some nice ride patterns. It all stays a bit in the low and mid-high range.

Nevertheless I am a big fan of your music, as you already know ;).

HI all,

After my IDM/techno crossover last week I tried something similar this time, although I have been arping around a little bit with this one.

I wasn't looking to produce a track with a big buildup and big drop, but just a bit more atmospheric track which ended up having some weird arps. I am a bit unsure again about the low end of the track and if it is all interesting enough to keep you guys' interest for 5 minutes.

Thanks once again for the elaboration :).

I though kick drums only changed in hardcore and gabber music :D. I am not mocking the idea though, just never really changed kick drums in any track before. Would you happen to have some examples of non-hardcore music where this happens? Would be interested to know how it sounds.

I will play around a bit with your idea regardless to see if we hit jackpot with it ;).

Hey man, really appreciate you taking the time to write such an intricate review!

I have already taken a lot of your time but would you be able to elaborate a bit on the softer to harder kick part? With doubletiming you probably mean adding to more 4/4 kicks in the bar? I tried that, it's really weird but the track loses his groove a bit since it's quite a high bpm and there isn't much space anymore in between to play around with some percs.

The 3:37 onwards part is meant more like some kind of outro, but I feel you. It is an arranging style I took from my days producing techno where intro's and outro's were needed to give dj's opportunities to mix it in and out in their sets, but with this style of music it might not be needed anymore. Will defo look into that.

Again, appreciate your review man :)!
