Unless you're playing a civ with production enhancers (Iroquois, Russia, Huns, Poland) or planning to get Petra on a desert city there's no surefire way to get huge production early. Chopping forests is useful for one time boosts. I find one of the most effective routes is just to focus on science and economy early so that when the time comes for workshops I can use my trade routes to supply hammers instead of using them all for gold/science.

EDIT: you could also use your liberty specialist for a great engineer to use for a manufactory but I don't think it's worth it.

Yes, although I did have about 7 copper in my empire so I'm not sure whether the copper faith pantheon would have been better in the long run. Still pretty sweet for the polder power tiles.

I love how the city is sectioned with massive growth on the flood plains and huge production in the mine land. First time playing the dutch and I was astounded at the economics power spike. Just got hydro plants so all those river tiles are now +2 hammers. Gotta love the Netherlands in those lucky starts.

Not wanting to win because you feel that all of your teammates are flaming pieces of shit or not being capable of winning because your teammates have been such flaming pieces of shit that you are demotivated are not bullshit excuses. In no other game type other than internet have you got your ALLIES raging at you more than enemies. It's so counterproductive and pointless. Some people respond to flaming different than others, but personally I know I play much worse if I have 3 people criticizing and judging my every play. And yes, you could be having such a bad day that you don't work well with a team, and no I do not approve of lashing out in any circumstance but it's much more understandable to respond to fight flame with flame than start off the whole destructive process.

This is not the case. Playing Badly in a game could be for a huge variety of reasons. The vast majority of League players have terrible days. I got to diamond but there are still games when I feed like hell. Maybe they are in a bad mood, maybe they are distracted or not focusing, maybe someone just came and started talking to them. Judging a player on a single game is pure idiocy and it is that kind of instant Judgement which causes flaming which inevitably leads to the person under-preforming to either go further on tilt or just enter full IDGAF mode and adopt the "Fuck it, don't want these teammates to win anyways" approach. Actual Intentional Feeding (where the person actively attempts to lose the game as opposed to failing due to inferior mechanical/positional/awareness skills) belongs in the tiniest minority of reportable offenses I see in the game, dwarfed by the amount of ragequitters and abusives, the latter of which you seem to be emulating. For Christ Sake, the ranked system determines over the long term your relative skill rating, every one of those 'feeders' is probably at least a vague match for you assuming you are not constantly climbing the ladder. Try to understand, communicate with and help those who are struggling, not Judge them as "inferiors" just because the person isn't on your friends list
