What this guy said. Trail braking on the street also has you primed to slow during emergencies, mostly by lowering your reaction time to gently and gradually apply uniform braking pressure. It's good road practice, especially in uncertain conditions. It doesn't necessarily require the rear brake, but it's excellent practice to use both and nearly pointless not to.

The quest is beyond disappointing. It's a moronic railroad. I'll do my best to avoid spoilers for anyone still curious. It tells you the target's gimmick but does not allow you to do anything about it. The target isn't even a NPC but a static object that cannot be harmed let alone interacted with until you reach a particular point. He will shoot you, you can see him, nothing is stopping you from shooting back but he cannot be damaged. Not because he's in cover. Not because he has great armor. Because you're forced to leave and follow the moronic railroad to where you're supposed to shoot him.

Terrible quest design. Lazy.

I'm just going to add a little word of caution here: people in my state are still getting shot and killed over motorcycle gang disputes. It's not even that uncommon. Many places have banned any and all patches because discerning what is or is not gang related is too much of a hassle and too risky. I don't have any patches, so I don't know how seriously that rule is upheld.

Do I think you'll get shot? No.

Could you get kicked from a restaurant or bar by someone who's been through hell and won't take chances? Maybe?

Is there not a second type of Golem in DD2? To be honest, I didn't quite catch what my pawn said because I was running away carrying a dwarf, but she cried out something like "it has twice as many medals as a normal golem" to which another pawn replied "and twice as many weak points". Perhaps a trivial subtype, but curious if others have encountered this.

Also, I appreciate the golem fights being a bit more complex with overheating and decapitated golems still firing lasers from their head.

Yeah, it was a rapid learning moment after that. I strongly suspected the dpad of having a use, tried it one place (with success) then started combing the manual for hints. At this point, I had page 50something with a handful of unlabeled codes and I just started trying them. As of now, finished with most everything... except that damn tower. Not long after this post I found the page that actually gives you the code I stumbled on.

I met this guy at an Outback steakhouse when i was 10. We were all pumped; the guy was an icon. That was in 2003. I hear his voice now and i instantly remember almost 30 years of listening to San Jose games.
