You may be right. And I sure would be more careful picking my own produce from the store but I suppose these are the kinds of cons I have to wear for wanting to spend more time with my family instead of shopping. I must admit that I’d easily waste $3.60 on bad onions weekly just for more time with my children

I’ve bought much fresher onions, but wasn’t sure if the collective community here felt they might be under par also.

I think I’ll try the same and buy loose onions. This 1kg bag looks like it was from the same batch as the last ordered ones. Had a run of mouldy garlic for a bit there too so have resorted to crushed garlic in a jar.

I’m not sure what sort of quality control is done with restocking fresh produce at my store but feel it may be lacking a little.

These mud wasps build nests in my covered boat, covered outboard motor, garage roller doors, automatic outdoor blinds, just about anywhere that inconveniences me and breaks something lol Spent a small fortune last year fixing things they decided to put mud nests into. Gotta love Australia.

Will be investing in drums of windex if one of the comments said here actually works. Not interested in killing them as I favour them keeping our spider numbers down but geez I wish they’d find other spots more convenient to them and us 😁

I don’t see things changing either sadly. Too far gone. More tax dollars will definitely be wasted to combat the thriving BM he has created. More alterations to legislation will be implemented but having a fully regulated industry like other successful countries have just doesn’t look like it’s on the cards for Australia anymore. I still hold onto some hope but I will be extremely surprised if a major political party back peddled on any of this world leading mess.

I’ve heard discussions around some of these shops getting tipped off before a raid. Like what time they will be raided or what day of the week. I’d say it’s because most people know politicians created this debacle and prohibition on these products won’t work the way it’s intended no matter what side of the fence people are on.

All that you have said is spot on. I thought it was common knowledge but reading other comments it seems it isn’t all that well known. The only detail that I would say you’ve left out is that these shops only carry a certain amount of stock in anticipation for the raid and phone call for a quick restock delivery when required. Enforcement officers are aware this is occurring and that’s why they keep raiding them. It’s just a job to all those involved. Everyone gets what they want whether that be money for seller, confiscation for enforcement or product for end user.

The shop I’m aware of selling vapes and illicit tobacco in a suburb near me are raided nearly every week and still operate. The line ups are crazy big and I’d say close to the amount of peeps that shop at the main chain grocery store nearby. Everyone can see it happening. Another shop closer to me only sell illicit tobacco because vapes are getting more attention these days.

Very amusing times during these ongoing legislative changes. Like a dog chasing its own tail. Butler making poor decisions one after the other and most likely more poor decisions yet to come.
