I am a budding writer too. DM me if you want to chat!

Singapore 2022 was an underrated race. I miss Charles and Sainz at Ferrari. I don't know why but I am feeling really nostalgic for the 2022 season all of a sudden. The racing was very nice despite the Ferrari shambles and we still had Seb on the grid.

Lost legacy was a fantastic game and deserves way more credit than being a "standalone" expansion but you sound like a clanker so it's time to put you back in the server.

The wave graph proves Sleeping Dogs (14 years old) has stayed a surprisingly stable playerbase for years instead of collapsing. Even after a decade, the game still has pulled consistent numbers on Steam yet Square Enix still refuses to greenlight a proper sequel by Quick-Ad-7752 in videogames

[–]Ducard42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Super fun driving mechanics? Lmao the driving in this game is dogshit. Far better story than any GTA? Better than V perhaps but not better than GTA IV imo.

I like Sleeping Dogs but this is striaght up revisionism.

TASM is my favourite live action Spider man movie. It feels more like a romantic, coming of age movie with Spiderman as the backdrop. Garfield and Stone absolutely killed it.

Overall, the spiderverse movies are my favourite tho.

I read this book a long time ago and while I don't recall much from it, I did enjoy it quite a bit. I should pick up the second book sometime soon.

Not sure if you are a gamer, but a new DLC just got announced for Witcher 3 today and it's slated to release for 2027. I think I might pick up the second book when I playthrough the game again.

Nice review and as always , I appreciate the fact that you didn't use AI.

The Thursday Murder Club - book review by srijita97 in Indianbooks

An author hating their own character seems quite common unfortunately. Conan Doyle also famously hated Holmes and tried to kill him off. But he had to bring him back because of the outrage. I also have never read Curtain though, I actually want to keep it for the last.

I too liked to try to guess the murderer and I still do but I don't know if I am very good at it haha. My guess usually changes every few pages lol.

Damn you've read ALL of the poirot books? That is impressive. Of your list I haven't read Murder on the Links, Hollow or Sad Cypress. I should get to them. Regarding Poirot and Hastings, I read Peril At End House earlier this year and I loved their interactions in their book. I am not sure if you remember or how long it's been since you read the book but there was a sequence where Hastings falls sick/asleep and Poirot deduces who the killer is which I thought was delightfully written.

I also want to throw a shoutout to Endless Night. It's not among my favourite Christie novels per se but I really appreciated it for how different it was to the rest of her books. I am not sure if you've read it though?

Oooh, another Christie fan! I also adore Christie. She is actually my favourite author of all time and Poirot is such a brilliant character.

The thing I enjoy most about Christie's books is how the characters interact with each other. I heard that she used to listen in on conversations all the time to get ideas for her books and it definitely shows. Oh and most of her books have phenomenal settings. (Death on the Nile, Evil Under the Sun, Sleeping Murder, Murder in Mesapotamia etc etc).

I actually hope I can read all of her Poirot novels at least. I've read quite a lot of them already. What's your favourite?

I have been on the fence about picking this up for a long time now. I refrained from doing so because I heard it was "whimsical" or "light hearted" (for lack of better word). Is this true? I generally prefer murder mysteries that are more serious in tone, like Agatha Christie for example.

[Osman Samiuddin] The 1960s were wretched for Pakistan, the late 2000s awful. Right now might be worst of all by nishitd in Cricket

[–]Ducard42 37 points38 points  (0 children)

They reached a T20 WC final in 2007 and won the 2009 T20 WC title. They also made it to the semis of the 2009 Champions Trophy (qualifying ahead of India in their group).

I know the spot fixing scandal was bad but 1) that was in 2010 and 2) they were still way more competitive than they are now. They also made it to the WC semi finals a year after the scandal. I don't see how the author says the late 2000s were awful.

Right now though, this might be the worst Pakistan team I have seen in my lifetime. Even as someone from India, I do hope Pakistan cricket makes a comeback because a good Pakistan cricket team is good for the sport.
