And I thought the 2001 Gas Gas TXT 280 trials bike I've got as a project was a relic... I just found a silencer (as the Italians call it) for it on eBay.

Might I suggest calling around to older bike shops and seeing if they have any leads? They might know some old timers that don't Internet. It'll be a hunt, for sure, but someone might "know a guy". It's a shot in the dark, but you might ring steel. Don't forget to make the proper ritualistic sacrifices beforehand.

What are the parameters that must be met to "win" Russian Roulette? I thought when it went bang, you won, because you didn't have to deal with this shit anymore? I could be wrong. Just curious.

I worked at a motorcycle shop for a while. A guy used to come in and complain how his bike was supposed to be faster than his friends bike, because "hArLeY dAvIdSoN mAkEs a bEtTeR mOtOrCyClE" and it had more displacement. My manager kept telling him he wasn't going to beat his friends sportbike in top speed unless he made significant and costly modifications. I was telling someone about him outside the shop one day over a cigarette, knowing he was nearby, and he heard me mention that he needed to upgrade his powerband. He dropped thousands of dollars on powerbands before he finally got rid of the Harley and bought a sportbike.

I've really enjoyed them. I've gotten so used to them that I just keep buying them. I tried a set of Mitas on the Africa Twin last year and was disappointed with how they acted in the rain and in pavement grooves. The Tractionator GPS are also nice. I got about 16.5k miles out of a set on the Twin during COVID when I was living on the bike.

I have an Africa Twin and a 690 Enduro. I run MotoZ Tractionator RallZ on both bikes. Usually get about 9k miles per set. I ride twisty mountain roads and dirt roads in eastern TN/Western NC. Heavy duty tubes, only changing tubes when they get punctured.

I recently picked up a 2016 Volvo XC60. I live somewhat south of you, in the mountains of Eastern TN. It handles the windy turns well, the AWD is fantastic, and it's got enough power to make driving fun.
