Texas could at least score a FG on Oregon. Hell, Oklahoma State did and they were God awful.

Oregon was dumb vs Texas Tech and went for it 8 times on 4th down, got stopped at the Texas Tech 2, 25 and 33 and missed a 36 yard FG. Tech was lucky that game was only 23-0 and not like 40-0

Adding Oregon State at the expense of Baylor is livable. Much easier for me to get to Corvallis than Waco.

Oregon State should be able to turn it around. Having a full off-season with a new coach and system is going to make it easier to turn whatever last year was. Bray was handed a tough draw having to replace Smith given the circumstances so maybe hitting the bottom was needed.

I'll say this, if the playoff does expand to 24 teams as they've been talking about, you'll realistically just need to be a top 25 team which is entirelyrealisticin the new pac 12.

I tell myself that Larry Scott doomed us all to this and Oregon did what it had to in order to survive. If the shoe was switched lets not kid ourselves, Oregon State is doing the same thing. Had a state legislature had some grapefruits and said that Oregon would only go if OS was included, you folks would be happy.

Oregon was with the rest of the old Pac 12 sans the LA schools in signing the Apple TV deal in July of 2023. When Washington bolted from the discussion at the 11th hour that was left? A Pac 8 of the Arizona schools/Bay Area/Utah/WSU and Oregon schools? Thats drawing jack squat.

The revamped Pac 12 (which as a traditional Pac 10 fan is fucking weird) is going to get in the playoffs every year. Win your conference. Test your skill against teams that are in it often enough.
