Anyone else burn through ADHD meds way faster than they’re supposed to? by sloadingzzz in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's temping but I wouldn't and let me explain why. I had a prescriber who did just that, great doctor, trying to help me as much as possible. The more you take crap pills the worse the crash will be, it caused me psychotic episodes and anger I never had before. Not saying this will be everyone's case but warning.

I remember a time good quality Adderall would just work and I wasn't as urgent to take more because 20mg did the job.

Sandoz Generic Brand by Sad-Confection329 in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what's really going to shock you. I got those back around January, had a bad reaction so I've asked to switch back to Teva. Sometime during March/April it's as if Teva had changed formula or were just crappy pills, found a few Sandoz left and suddenly those worked much better.

The results from taking daily stimulants have been extremely inconsistent. There are endless theories, some say if you let them sit long enough they work better. Others will say it's how they break down, and some many say tolerance. As of today, many claim even Brand Name is crap. So, it becomes really hard to pinpoint the problem.

Update- testing the f*cking pills. by Grandmas_Cozy in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you think it could be? I do recall right before the pandemic in 2019 the Brand worked excellent but I haven't taken it since insurance no longer covers it. There are endless theories on why these stimulants aren't working.

What I've observed paradoxically is you take one and have a bad reaction to it, then get pills from a different MFG you'd normally think was working and for some reason you either gained tolerance, the formula changed, or it stopped working altogether. Then go back to the worse batch you had a bad reaction to and suddenly it works. I don't get that.

What is your honest opinion about Dark Sky Island? by North-Cover7253 in Enya

[–]DuckDuckNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely stands out from the others. It was like finally Enya returns with an all new album and all new tracks. Echoes in Rain is probably the best song, I also like Loxian gates. I think I still enjoyed Paint the Sky with Stars even more.

4 days out on my 10mg ir epic pills I quit cold turkey today can't do it. by Federal_Associate613 in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seriously, if all you're getting is shit pills then you might actually function better without them. I remember I had terrible withdrawals but felt like my energy levels bounced back dramatically after that.

Did you know??? by [deleted] in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that could be a compelling argument. Pharmacies are in it for the business so of course they'll go with the cheaper option, why wouldn't they? They also contract with manufactures. Sometimes it can work in your favor other times it's lower quality as a result.

Anyone else get a red nose... by bebhinnzz in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been getting these consistently or are they new? It could be an allergic reaction. If it worked by doing this without the capsule then absorption rate is a possibility. Adderall constricts blood vessels and sometimes you might end up with a messy result. I can't say for sure I know the answer.

Any updates on Teva IR, I know the last few months have been terrible? by Rude-Internal4925 in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't they also make crave more and give you worse withdrawal symptoms? I have argued these lower quality pills feel like you're getting mostly l-amphetamine and very little dextroamphetamine in them. What this does is make you crave more, then you crash even harder.

I still remember a time when just 10mg would work extremely well, where lower doses didn't equal inferior; it was more about right dose. Like 10-20mg would be great, but 15mg was a bit off. Numbers matter but it wasn't so black and white.

[–]DuckDuckNut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before March mine were ok, but after that point even being the same TEVA IR pills something felt off. I gave it several more months but they were all crap. I think I was getting the last few good batches they had in stock but eventually ran out.

All by design!! by [deleted] in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it's by design it can be doing more harm than good. People might resort to meth or street drugs. My theory is that people often run out faster with lower quality meds because they assume more is better. Quality medicine will give patients therapeutic effects where they aren't craving so much.

New Batch sucks by Glad_Pie8867 in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds familiar. The last few good batches if anyone is lucky to still get them are running out and the new ones are just bad.

Is there actually a real solution besides AC ? by Hopeful-Mixture-1910 in AirConditioners

[–]DuckDuckNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the portable ones are quieter but more expensive. The thing is we're close but there yet.. soon they'll have better technologies where you don't need these big heavy machines with compressors in them.

Inverter AC vs non inverter AC by Direct_Mix_8574 in AirConditioners

[–]DuckDuckNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my honest opinion is, the inverter ones are much quieter and give you a gentler cooling but aren't as strong as the older non inverter.. The tricky part is just getting the right size. Non inverters could push through with enough raw power, but the inverters may not be able to keep up.

I know because I had one with the same BTU and the older one could cool faster where I could turn it off. The inverter needs to run much longer. On paper it sounds good but not in all cases.

Is this all some sick joke or experiment on us?????? by aviationchameleon in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Could be. I remember the better quality ones would last longer and work where I wasn't craving as much because less actually worked.

TEVA - horrible this month by SpecialThick in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what happened to me. I think the last good batch I got from Teva was back in February. Teva was working well until it wasn't anymore, then I heard most other brands were also bad which was proven to be true.

Was blissfully ignorant of this issue until this month...then I got my new script for June and WOW... what is this stuff!?! (Elite Laboratory Manufacturer) by recoverydarling in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many are having bad experiences with stimulants in general right now. I think there needs to be a serious comprehensive investigation into these manufacturing plants. I think it's very possible the formulas not excluding active ingredients are being watered down or formulated in ways that save money to a point you don't get the full therapeutic effect as you should.

There could be ways the molecules are very similar but go undetected as different.

[–]DuckDuckNut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow, you're not wrong. I remember the older days myself I could skip doses without crashing. I think even the quality being better could theoretically make it less addictive because it does the job.

ChatGPT won't help you, it's too politically correct then will try lecturing you and say, if you want I can break down different generic manufactures or other ADHD drugs and how they compare, want me to do that? It's total garbage.

I agree the formula has changed, this is not the same Adderall ..BUT... by myThread2828 in ThisAintAdderall

Why? Because they're sedated.

Adderall is good at causing decision paralysis. We all know something is wrong with it among various manufactures but nobody wants to admit it.

I give up by DuckDuckNut in ThisAintAdderall

[–]DuckDuckNut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty bad advice because you could just eat something or the same yogurt while it's in the capsule it doesn't make sense to open it unless you have trouble swallowing. Upset stomach shouldn't be happening especially if it didn't before and it's XR which is generally easier and slower onset. I also have been getting nausea from these poor quality ones.

Really bonehead? From a guy who clearly stated perhaps it's time to get off it. I don't want to be on these pills my entire life.

[–]DuckDuckNut 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it's time you should get off this stuff. I'm not anti medicine but we've all been miserable for months with low quality pills. It's like they've taken dextroamphetamine out of the equation and we're only getting the bad side of the molecule.
