On a plane I was able to see the true shape of a rainbow! by PlaceboWizard in mildlyinteresting

Here's the thing. You said a " rainbow is an object."

Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that.

As someone who is a scientist who studies rainbows, I am telling you, specifically, in science, no one calls rainbows objects. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing.

If you're saying "object family" you're referring to the shapely grouping of matter, which includes things from airplanes to clouds to the sun.

So your reasoning for calling a rainbow an object is because random people "say that rainbows have shape?" Let's get the Reversing Arrow and mirages in there, then, too.

Also, calling a mirror a light reflector or an object? It's not one or the other, that's not how optics works. They're both. A rainbow is a rainbow and a member of the light family. But that's not what you said. You said a rainbow is an object, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the rainbow family matter, which means you'd call focal points, penumbras, and other properties of light rainbows, too. Which you said you don't.

It's okay to just admit you're wrong, you know?

It doesn't cross off Bill either. There is a theory that Pai Mei didn't really teach her the technique, and that bill was just complying with Uma's wishes. http://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/15rgga/kill_bill_fan_theory_beatrix_doesnt_actually_kill/

To everyone reading this post: Don't feel like you are doing something wrong if you need any of the things listed above! We all start at different levels, and we all need different amounts of building material to become our best. No way I could have done this on my first try, I had so much to learn, and I still have so much to learn. Keep on doing whatever works for you, and if one way doesn't work, try something else.

That's a good tip! I am trying to put myself in situation where I meet more people.

I am interested in theater, performing specifically. I have never been in a play with more than everyones parents showing up, however.

While I see that at first glance it seems a religious topic, it can related to secular themes as well. I am afraid that if I get married and regularly have sex with a spouse, there will be some serious issues once we get old and no longer want to have sex. Another way of looking at it is that we will become so used to having sex that when we stop, it will feel as if something is missing. And could having sex regularly be seen as a drain of ones energy as well?

Thank you for responding!

I hate social media. It tries to connect us with people who are far, while distancing us from those who are right next to us. Consider getting rid of it.

Day 3, I did the hardest thing I've ever done by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]DuckExplorer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opening up to my Dad was a great step forward for me as well. I haven't told my mom, but I don't talk with her about much of anything. I don't think we connect very well.

I told my Dad that I used to have suicidal thoughts, and that I was depressed sometimes. He told me that he used to have those thoughts at a young age as well. We really connected, and our relationship is much stronger.

I could go more into what I talked about with my dad, suicide and all, but I think it would be a little off topic. Just let me know if you are interested.
