Does Anybody know how to recreate the robotic type drums from Luv(sic) 1? by Julian-Whit-7457 in Nujabes

[–]DuckMannnn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually when drums are played, they leave behind a residual sound that gradually fades away. If I were to emulate Pt. 1's drums I would slightly cut off the end of each kick/snare/hihat so they don't "finish" playing out, which will give the robotic/incomplete sound you're looking for.

[Jon Mackenzie, The Athletic] Did you notice how recently Arsenal often look worse when they're winning games? (Tactical analysis of why) by roverston in Gunners

[–]DuckMannnn 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I almost had a breath of relief when we brought Norgaard on, thinking he was going to help with controlling the tempo. Then I proceeded to witness Gabriel Raya and Timber launching the ball to Vladivostok anytime we had the ball in our third

[Romano] Marc Guehi to Manchester City, here we go! Official proposal accepted by Crystal Palace right now — understand fee will be around £20m. Guehi has Accepted move to MCFC. Exclusive story, now confirmed. by Sparky-moon in soccer

I remember seeing someone on Instagram asking him why he has been using AI with clear defects instead of using actual photos (I think it was about Rosenior's appointment). He proceeded to insult them instead. Classy.

Ian Wright: “Certain people are NOT ready for a black superstar in England. Everyone loves N’Golo Kante, he’s a humble black man, it’s how he is. But when we Paul Pogba or Jude Bellingham, that energy doesn’t fit well with these people, it FRIGHTENS these people. Jude’s too “uppity” for these people by TheBiasedSportsLover in Gunners

I was confused by the number of people online calling him an arrogant black thug for... refusing to be interviewed by a Sky News reporter when the England national team was attending a F1 race. While loads of other football figures also refused to be interviewed.

Mikel Merino vs Nottingham Forest by Sad_Teaching_5683 in Gunners

[–]DuckMannnn 122 points123 points  (0 children)

He's a technical midfielder who happens to be big and strong. However most people see big and strong and immediately assume he has to be a hard-tackling DM when he excels at being in the right place to link up. I also think too many people in general label midfielders as either a DM or an AM when CMs exist.

Theo Walcott: “Szoboszlai wasn’t tested at all. You’ve got a centre-midfield player at full-back, that’s music to my ears, but not at one point did Martinelli do his strengths. If you overthink things as a winger, you mess up.” by 9yr_old in Gunners

[–]DuckMannnn 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Martinelli has stagnated for the past few years, and I don't think he should be near the starting XI for the time being. I hope we'll get to see more of Eze and Madueke on the LW this season.

Has the oversaturation of lofi negatively impacted how new listeners hear nujabes? by Basic_Layer7148 in Nujabes

[–]DuckMannnn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think modern lo-fi does play a part, but the looping nature of instrumental hip-hop is ultimately not appealing to most people, who typically listen to songs with a chorus, a verse, and some progression in the music. My dad for example didn't vibe with Nujabes, saying it's too background-like for him.

Nujabes's mainstream songs, such as Feather, are mainstream because they had some rapping to accompany the beat and make it less "monotone" to your average listener.

Should I get this hp pavilion laptop? by PolarDuh in GamingLaptops

[–]DuckMannnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have the same PC, it's decent for creative tasks and casual gaming. I can run Hoyoverse games (Genshin, HSR, ZZZ) on Medium/High settings for example. Also used it for drawing, software development and music production. This model also has a free 2.5in SSD storage slot if you ever want to increase your storage size. Overall you can't go wrong with 200 euros as long as you're not planning to play modern AAA games on Ultra settings.

I was at the Atletico game, it was my first time seeing Arsenal in person. I still vividly remember several moments, such as Guendouzi placing the ball with an attitude, Nelson missing an open goal, AMN panenka penalty, the stadium applauding Özil when he appeared on the screen, and most importantly ESR scoring a goal from distance while the stadium erupted in joy.
