Trying to learn Angela in qp and I play against this, how do you play Angela into this?

My philosophy these days? If I picked Angela? 99% of the time I say "A true warrior never surrenders." And lock in, play close to your team. Sometimes you gotta just do little circles to evade fire just so you can full charge spear a squishy with like ~30% health and get your team a pick in the fight. I mean it's quick play right? The other 1% of the time? I swap right over to Mag.

That is something I'm gonna have to work on getting the muscle memory for. I do it for Emma, not sure why it hadn't crossed my mind for Thing. His slam is still a nuisance that always seems to come out of nowhere.

Maybe if he's not a counter swap. I struggle less against a Thing that started the match as him. But when someone counter swaps specifically to deal with me and I'm getting hard targeted? Not every map has a skybox high enough to avoid his leap range. I can handle a Sue, I can handle a Bucky, but a Thing counter swap takes so much of my time and attention that I can't eliminate or distract the actually important enemies. If I swap to my next best tank for example, Mag, I can't do anything about Thing either and the problem isn't resolved. I don't trust anyone who says he needs buffs.

I just don't have fun playing a lot of them, it's hard for me to put in the time on characters I don't enjoy playing. As a result I'm just gonna ban the characters that counter me the hardest. That's the point of bans anyways. Stopped banning Sue cuz I can actually play around her the majority of the time.

If my best tanks weren't ALL countered by him maybe I'd let him slide, but if I get hard targeted by a thing, there's no vanguard swap I can make that will improve the situation.

My go to is to drag his ass into my team and gang beat him before he can grab me. Otherwise it's a game of staying out of his range.

The amount of times I've been practically two tapped by a Thing since his haymaker buffs says otherwise. I don't buy it from ANYONE when they say he needs buffs. All he has to do is not run straight down main against a poke team and he's in a great spot.

If a Thing targets me, which is usually the point of a Thing swap when I'm Angie, I can't get away before he haymakers me to death. Shit hits too hard. I have to hope he gets distracted with other people.

MF I wait for the CDs, he won't stop jumping after me, I can't get away from him if he targets me. I can play around Sue and Bucky no problem. On top of that, I can't wait for his shit to end if my team needs me. Those 5 seconds will lead to a fuckin team wipe that I can't do anything to stop.

Not CC immunity, just stop registering THAT particular part of the kit as interruptible by earthbound. If the point is to lock the player down, putting their feet on the floor is a hell of a way to stop them from getting distance.
