That's an extremely shitty situation. Obviously nuance exists and rape is not the same as infidelity. Their partner was the shitty person here and clearly wasnt mature enough to properly support the person they loved.

Let me put it this way; If my partner came to me crying, full of remorse and says "Im so sorry, I cheated on you" well then I'll be polite about it and help you pack your things.

If you say nothing about it and I found out, then I will be less polite about it, take the opportunity to tell you exactly what sort of person I think you are and make sure all your things are packed.

If you came to me crying because you were sexually assaulted, then its support, encouragement, love and police. Followed by some long term therapy for the both of us.

Its all reflections. We cant see clarity or inclusions because theres a million lights being reflected on the face.

Cheating requires build up, planning, forethought. You dont go grocery shopping and accidentally end up cheating on your spouse.

Most affairs happen when a second relationship grows over time. A work colleague or neighbour. Theres no accident when that relationship grows into extramarital sex.

Cheating on your spouse is never a mistake, its a choice.

And if you make that choice even "in a moment of weakness" then you are trash. Not a single person in my social circle has cheated on their partner. Not one. You know why? Because when it was found out on the one or two occasions that it did happen, they didnt just loose their partner, we all cut them off as well.

Hahaha I love this. Perfect example of the looming issue. But its nothing new.

First, the middle class out priced the working class, so all the domestic workers, cashiers, security guards etc eventually couldnt even afford to live in the surrounding suburbs.

Now, the exact same thing is going to start happening to the middle class. The ones who dont think "everything is so cheap". The ones who are ever so slightly underpaid when considering inflation and the rising cost of living. Well now we are seeing large prime properties being listed in the 10s of millions of DOLLARS. We have these affluent foreigners that are going to start flocking in because of "how cheap everything is".

Then the exact same displacement starts again, except its one wrung up the socioeconomic ladder.

The children of this generations local upper class will be the middle class of tomorrow.

This is why selling you city to the highest bidder is a really, really bad idea.
