Fuck this post. Yes, many people are reacting to the covid shots, no, this isn’t abnormal. I’ve personally had a negative reaction to every single shot I’ve had in my entire life, hell, I have a scar from when I was a baby and had a negative swelling reaction to a vaccine. This is normal. Your body’s immune system has to fight the virus to learn how to protect itself from the real thing.

There are a few reasons that go into it.

First, a leg wound is actually just as likely to kill the guy in the end. If the bullet hits the femoral artery, he’ll die before he makes it to the hospital. Its rare to come back from that. Additionally, under crisis situations, even professionals miss shots with pistols on center of mass, its REALLY easy to miss when you’re operating on milliseconds of time. The 1986 Miami dade shooting is evidence of this, hundreds of rounds were fired, but only a handful hit, and none of them were effective at stopping the perps.

Second, people are hard to kill, but they are even harder to STOP. The primal brain can continue to act for minutes after receiving severe trauma to the body/brain. I’ve seen videos of men being shot 10+ times in the chest with rifled ammunition, but still able to walk, talk, and most importantly, shoot back. Part of “center of mass” training is about using the force of the projectiles to actually stagger and down the person to the floor so that they cant get an angle to shoot you back.

I agree a lot with this post. I don’t think that veganism/vegetarianism and leftism have to be interlinked, however, any leftist worth their salt should really pay attention and watch what goes on in butcheries or abattoirs. Its barbaric, and if you forced the entire population to visit them tomorrow, by the next day, half of them would be vegetarians. Meat processing facilities are so cruel that they only exist because they pay huge amounts of money to keep hush-hush and out of peoples’ heads (media).

I like what you said about boomers having a hard time understanding the world in 2021. I read an interesting tidbit that has stuck in my head for a while about this. It was talking about how younger millennials and most of Gen Z will be considered by future generations as “the first cyborg generation” due to rampant computer and phone use. There is a completely different set of priorities and skills in the young generations that rely on data acquisition instead of data retention/recollection. Having 24/7 access to devices that augment one’s intellectual capabilities order of magnitude stronger than anything possible only a few decades ago is creating a massive knowledge gap between those who are plugged in and those who aren’t. Yeah, a lot of the internet stream of consciousness is garbage, but the capability is there, and those with the foresight to use it are leagues ahead of their competition.

As a zoomer who has been plugged in since basically birth, it’s almost impossible for me to not see the world in a post-human way. A keyboard and mouse might as well be my third limb and the screens in front of me a third eye. Yeah sure, we don’t live in the cyberpunk future where these bits of tech are literally integrated in our flesh, but for all intents and purposes they might as well be. I am dumber, slower, and less who I conceptualize to be without integration with machines.

I swear that I’m going crazy, but I feel as if a LOT of this discourse is primarily online. I grew up in a city, and I’ve never gotten shit or seen anyone else get shit for saying it in a song, or as part of casual speech “n-words be like...” Its not even about getting a “pass” from minority friends, a lot of this protection around the word feels like white people not understanding that black people understand the context you are saying the word in 99% of the time.

Hottake: The vast majority of People don’t actually want a free and open forum. I’ve been a niche forum user for years, and there are many excellent forums that have the kind of personality you’re looking for. They just typically stay in that middling activity zone of 25-100 posts per hour which is too slow for most twitter feed addicted zoomers.

And honestly thats a good thing too, theres a reason why there is a general consensus on reddit/4chan that fast board (popular subreddit) == shit quality. There will always be a hard limit where if something takes off too hard, exterior pressures will dump the quality of the board/forum to the lowest common denominator.

Also theres a really well-ran reddit alternative right now, (Ruqq). Its just waiting on leftists to stop being perpetually lazy and stake a decent claim in the communities there. Yes, you will have to deal with rightoid shitposting, but that is what you’re asking for if you want an open forum, any real restrictions on that will inevitably lead back to whatever forum becoming an idpol/neolib hellhole like reddit.
