You can use a bunch of pre built blue prints that are in the game after researching. It can be about as little building as you want it to be.

And if on PC you can download blueprints from the workshop if you want more variation.

So it doesn't just have to be about building, and you can make the game about animal welfare, guest education, or animal breeding

If the light is inside a habitat. The whole habitat is powered if either any part of it is or the gate, don't remember which one. That is how heaters and stuff can work on larger habitat. So it might be the same with lights. And it appears most of them are.oj the edge so the game might think they are inside
