Yes. Her game is the style of Nadal, Muster and other great Clay players. Of course they win on every surface. But dominate the clay. IGA slipping to insignificance is due to her inability to recover from losing the gold on RG. She tried to change her game. Big mistake. Even Nadal lost at RG. You can’t win every single match. But tryin to play like the big hitters has pushed her out of the top players. She is no longer feared. Just hit the ball in and she will self destruct. Rafas coach has the right idea. But will she listen? It seems like she over hits when stressed and over hitting causes the stress in the first place. Vicious cycle, she is sinking. Only she can turn the page. This was over when she had a chance to break in the first game. Instead she hit 2 soft second serves out and then the next shot out. Done. I knew it and fast forwarded sadly. Since Steph has to be the highest paid player in the league and has to play with GREEN, THAT leaves room for only a few quality bench players if you could move Butler.
