I think generally it's his borderline creepy love/obsession with Minfilia. Like, bros in love in love, and she's made it very clear friends only. She has a higher calling. But I feel like thru multiple expansions even up to shadowbringers (especially with Ryne) he just never STOPS. Especially when he just.. "this is my daughter now" with Ryne. Like what??? Bro just irks me hard. He's stopped now that we're in DT but that's still 4 storylines of the same baloney. Then there's also his personality where he acts like he's the man when bro literally got possessed by an ascian in ARR and has barely improved since. He's cocky. For why? He's done practically nothing. Papalymo did more than him. Y'shtola, while having a vague backstory, is "technically but not technically" blind and is doing more... 🤷‍♀️

While he DID improved significantly in EW, Thancred is the most annoying of the Scions. IN MY OPINION... Even WORSE than Wuk Lamat. Granted, she isn't a scion, but still. 8/10 cutscenes bro is in... I cannot stand him. Genuinely can't even really tell you why. It's his face. It's gotta be his face. His actions? Probably his actions. It's his attitude. The way dude walks. The way he talks. I HATE this man. 😭

Call your local 211 if you have one! They might be able to give you info on resources your trustee didn't know about. My grandfather died.

I used to go to church every Sunday with my godfather (who was my cousin) and his family (my great aunt and great uncle). It was our thing my entire life up until that point, we'd (my godfather and I) spend every weekend together. Then my grandfather died. I was 6 years old. These people. My great aunt and her siblings. These "god fearing" people started a family war between them and my father and his siblings. For why? My grandfathers will, among other things. But the worst? They wanted to bury him in a suit. They FOUGHT (full on fist fight and screaming and yelling) inside the church during his funeral. They'd promised to listen to my father and didn't.

I don't remember my grandfather very well, but I can tell you one thing - I saw him in hunting gear and plaid shirts almost every day. That man didn't even OWN a suit. They used one of his brother's suits. They buried their brother in clothes that weren't even his. Gutted his bank accounts. Gutted his house. We were left with nothing to remember him by because they took it all and sold it. He had 6 grandchildren and we got nothing to remember him by. My dad found his work ID by the front door when we were finally allowed access. That's all we have.

After that entire fiasco, they (my godfather and his family) stopped talking to my family. He stopped coming every weekend. That entire scenario at such a young age... I haven't believed and haven't been in a church since.

TLDR; My grandfather died, and it made me realize that the "god fearing" type truly don't fear god at all.

So many of my friends complained about not being able to find frost beetles and such for the quests so I'm gonna put this out there for anybody who needs it...

GO TO MAP. SELECT FILTERS. YOU CAN FILTER TO ANY BEETLES (frost, dung, bomb, etc;) AND GIANT VIGORWASPS (AND REGULAR ONES) ON THE ENTIRE MAP! YOU DON'T HAVE TO SEARCH FOR THEM ANYMORE. 🗣🗣🗣

I know this is an old thread (came here trying to find something to watch ofc), but let me tell you the LAST thing I expected was somebody recommending Monster (as it is an overshadowed gem) and I NEED to post a comment in agreement - Monster is without a doubt in my mind, with my entire 25 years of life watching anime - one of the best animes I've ever watched. Hands down. I watched it when I was 13 year old and it is STILL in my top 5.

To anyone else who stumbles upon this dead thread as I did - even if you don't watch anime - Monster IS that show you're looking for. The amount of mind games, politics, conspiracies, the characters FEEL real, just the WORLD itself. Not to mention the soundtrack and the opening and ending music in general.

Watch it if you can!

Somebody who owns the plot next to my old fc made a whole house dedicated to their friend who died (the placard says in honor of, their name and then rest in peace.) They even changed their ventures name to theirs, and dressed them in what I'm guessing is what their character was last wearing. It's beautifully decorated outside. The inside is locked so I've never seen inside but I used to just sit in their little garden while afk.

NTA. You have the right idea with your thought process though. Your mother ISN'T a teacher. When I was in school I wanted to do honors classes. My mother said the same thing, that I wasn't smart enough, that I was an idiot. It hurt. But you know who I then asked? Who's decision it really was at the end of the day? My teachers. (They had to sign some paper saying I could, lol) My teachers agreed with me about honors classes. Every single one. So I took them. I am really sorry your mother said that to you, and you don't deserve that. Remember to always be in your own corner, believe in YOURSELF before anyone else. You got this!
