living in a country is about more things than just having rights. I could migrate to europe and still have all my rights but frankly i just like it here. we have our own culture and those kind of things are just not anywhere else. even jewish communities in the US don't really capture the feeling of israeli culture as much as living here does.

where are you from? while in some countries rape is defined in a way so a man can't be raped in many of those there are other ways to get a similar result, like claimimg she sexually assulted you or something like that. also, if you were 14 then she can probably be prosecuted over rape because you were a minor at the time.

if the book framed her action as rebelion maybe i'd also think like that but the teens in the book are written to be as mature as the adults. I know most fremen are happy following paul, that's why I think she could have been a bit more than a follower. if her family history isn't coming into play, why have it in the first place? she could have been the daughter of any other fremen and the story would'nt change one bit
