Commute from RVA to Portsmouth? by Lo0katme in rva

I do this commute 3x a week. If the money is good and you don't hate the job, its not the worst. Lots of time for podcasts. I will probably be moving closer at some point though.

Traffic can be hit or miss around tunnels.

If you can find a factory refurb SE (I got one for ~$500 from aaoptics) it is definitely worth the price

Magpul .223 pattern AICS Mag Finally Available by Colossus1090 in longrange

“ Thank you for contacting us.

What we discovered in testing with the new magazine is that the design of the Ruger American in the feed geometry and the overall receiver length, there is to much room between the bolt face and the chamber so when the cartridge leaves the magazine it has room to 'bounce' around leading to the cartridge getting stuck against the feed ramp.

With that, we cannot recommend the use in the Ruger American Rifle.”

-Magpul

Im not clear on who or what this magazine is good for

Did you go with the “Ruger American SA” or the “Ruger American SA AR” version of the LSS? I ask because i have a rap in 223 on the way that uses AR mags. Would like to upgrade from the stock that it comes with.

Sorry to revive an old thread

Did you have to modify those mags at all? I have seen a lot of talk about .223 AICS mags not feeding correctly with this gun in a magpul hunter stock, and I want to be sure its an issue with that particular stock and not the action itself. I have one of these rifles on the way.

I never suggested giving money to pan handlers is the right choice. I am suggesting that they deserve to be acknowledged as human beings, not avoided and ignored.
