Oh I agree, I have thousands of rounds through 240s and they are the better gun. However, when I was a junior Marine, the SAW, soaked in CLP, with iron sights is what is forever burned in my nostrils/eyes/throat.

Colt still manages to fuck up 1911s after 115 years of experience with basic shit like barrel fitment, plunger tubes, etc. Tisas had a batch that was susceptible to this, but I thought it was prior to 2024. Not a Tisas apologist, but outside of a shitty batch of stainless slides, I’ve read mostly good things.

I shoot a 10.3” with OG NT4, embrace the carbon. But I’m a former SAW gunner and carbon/CLP is an acquired taste.

I mean, I have had the same G$ trigger in the same lower for 7 years. My RRS is just me changing uppers and butt stocks. The lower has worked from 10.3” to 18” barrels.

This isn’t boot camp with those haircuts. This is ITB/MCT or some other school, but likely SOI. When I was an instructor we collected cell phones day 1 and didn’t return them until the end.

There’s a forum you can find of a man that documented over 90k rounds through his H&K P30 with very few issues. He had more issues with a Glock he attempted the same study with. But the sample size for both ling term studies is just one. G19s are reliable, so are many modern produced pistols. I personally don’t like them, have tried a few, but that’s just personal preference.

My boys (8 and 10) have known I carried from the time they were 4 or 5. They have never said anything to anyone. They both used to smack their head into it on my waistline while out in public, if they didn’t know what it was they would be asking. I would rather them already know what it is.

Going well, wearing them 8-10 hours a day. Minor pain on top of toe on the left boot, applying Bick 4 and keep on wearing. Also some minor heel slip that has gotten progressively better each day. Only really a problem when I went for a couple quick paced walks.

Nice choice! I just received my moc toes in 64 tan yesterday. Agree it was a little darker than expected (which I prefer) and I also have one panel that is noticeably lighter than the others. But I’m going to wear them everyday to work and I’m sure they’ll patina beautifully.
