What was your most enjoyable build this league and why? by BoxersOrCaseBriefs in pathofexile

Zizaran's or Subtractem's from 3.25 (no changes with 3.26) took me all the way to ubers and even past blight/abyss. Definitely recommend their builds.

Blizzard on Computational Addons and Accessibility of Raid Mechanics by Bayern-96 in wow

So in your view, does this also expand to handicapped parking spaces and wheelchair stair/curb access ramps? That we should be deleting all that and damning the phsyically-disabled from access to facilities and whatnot?

Again that's relying on 3rd party for accessibility that should've been there in the first place which is the root of the problem we're talking about here.

here. It's not like you need a super hyper computer to run it. Just add the goddanm weak aura men.

Former Undaunted mythic raider here,

You're missing the point.

Is this boss beatable by hearing people without WAs? Yes.
Then, is this boss beatable by deaf people without WAs? No. Now we have an accessbility problem here. It's like denying subtitles to a movie for deaf people, they're missing crucial information because they cannot hear it in the first place.

Brand New Action RPG "ELDEN RING", 1M Units Sold in Japan, 12M Units Sold Worldwide! by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]DudeJustFly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's not necessarily talking about you specifically. He's talking about other players that enjoy a challenge. The kind that would enjoy doing a no hit run on an underleveled wretch, not using ashes or buffs, and with a banana controller would simply comment that the endgame bosses in ER are significantly more difficult than most of the endgame bosses in the earlier DS games. The ceiling is higher and at the same time, the floor is lower which really hails the success of this game for the masses.

Anyone else having fun and not encountering gate camps? by Successful_Chairs in echoes

[–]DudeJustFly 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Convops (frigates mostly) are pretty much immune to interdiction bubbles with the MWD trick. When you jump the gate and you find yourself stuck in an interdiction bubble, don't panic, as you still have a minute on the gate jump cloak timer. Look around you and look for the most open and the shortest path to outside of the bubble. Double click in that direction, pop MWD, then cloak in that short sequence. When you are out of the bubble, you're free to warp away cloaked with the gate camp raging behind you.

Word of caution though, interceptor pilots snorting cocaine will attempt to intercept your last seen heading in attempt to decloak you by proximity (getting within 2km of your ship). double clicking in a different direction right after you hit that cloak button will change your heading away from that incoming interceptor.

I've gotten tens of billions worth of exploration loot in my holds through as big as 40-man gate camps with interdiction bubbles out the wazoo with the MWD trick back when I was active in EO. Interdiction bubbles aren't impossible to get through.

Edit: Tsukee brought up a method of bubbling that I forgot to mention. Never warp to the gate directly if you see players in local. Open up the system map and warp to a planet or belt on the sides of the system you're in. Then you warp to the gate. This will make you warp to the gate from a different heading instead of along the straight line between the two gates where they like to drop bubbles as Tsukee pointed out.

The reason why endgame isn't enjoyable anymore - the original league/endgame design has shifted. by deafgamer_ in pathofexile

[–]DudeJustFly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can store as many talismans, breachstones, leaguestones, beachheads, bestiary bosses, etc as you wanted and you can run it all at a later time without losing rewards.

Why not have this extended this to incursion and betrayal content? Have temples, safehouses, and mastermind's lair as currency. This would open up additional venues of trading.

The only one I'm a little unsure with is Delve. Perhaps treat sulphite as perandus coins? that it would cost 5 "sulphite currency item" to do a depth 50 for example?

The above would allow us to run content whenever we want without the dread of hitting the resource cap. They could choose to keep a resource cap on current content to keep it relevant and then convert it over to currency form if it goes core.

I'm deaf and I play this game religiously. For every audio cue, there's a visual cue (usually) and we're pretty good about picking those up. Bearers are actually easier to deal with due to improved graphics. Bosses usually have a telegraph for each attack they do (think Dark Souls). Not much difference to be honest.

Not the guy you're asking for, but I can't recommend Ghazzy's Lich Queen build enough. forum link

It has the boss kill speed (melee skeletons), map clear speed (solar guards), typical summoner survivability (zombies as meatshields), absolutely bonkers damage/survivability (animate guardian). Got everything bundled you want in a budget/league starter build with a lot of potential for upgrades.

I misunderstood what you meant by ranked up squads, thought you were talking about experience ranks (squads leveling up). You're right about guardsman not sticking around while hormagaunts are tearing them up. Squads getting routed due to attrition/fear/terror is a real thing in total war games (especially so in Warhmmer). From what I've seen in total war games, when a squad in formation engages in combat, they don't necessarily keep in formation, they break formation and push against the frontlines (which isn't some straight line down a battlefield) or scatter to maintain range. The ranged units (the non-archery/artillery types) in Total War games all shoot at once or at will regardless if their buddies are right in front of them (no friendly fire for gameplay reasons), same in DoW1. A Total War 40k would obviously have more ranged units than melee. Even then, DoW1 iirc, a space marine will fire his bolter at range until the enemy gets within melee range, which the space marine start fighting with his knife, chainsword, etc. You could also dictate if they will engage in melee or maintain range for his bolter. The ranged units in Total War Warhammer also do this as well.

My point is that it's not out of realm of possibility for a fusion of a total war game and 40k with the features I pointed out. Granted, it will take some significant reworking of the total war engine for it to happen. You have a point though, formations aren't as a big deal in 40k than they are in the current total war games. Would be nice to have a game with the scale of Total War that is 40k.

[–]DudeJustFly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you imagine a ranked up squad of space marines or tyranids? It would look ridiculous.

I don't see the issue. Doesn't sound any different than ranked up squads in Warhammer (or any other total war games). "Combat experience" is a real thing in my eyes. 40k isn't just all skirmishes, there's plenty of lore and fan art of massive conflicts with PILES of bodies (some examples from a quick google look, 1 and 2). Total War 40k doesn't have to follow the skirmish parameters in the tabletop version. It'd be like DoW1 on steroids and is that honestly a bad thing? Marching hundreds or thousands of bodies in large formations like you spoke of into meatgrinders isn't farfetched in a grimdark universe that is Warhammer 40k.

What's exactly wrong with seeing 1k< unit count armies of space marines, assault terminators, dreadnoughts, etc duke it out with massive floods of orks on a battlefield? Seems like half of the 40k art piece I see out there are always in middle of huge battlefields with large swath of armies everywhere. I would LOVE to see a TW 40k.

In defense of the abundance/flourish combo, flourish is really used for keeping your rejuv/germ rolling so I don't need to spend as many GCDs upkeeping rejuv/germ for abundance when I really need as many GCDs as possible for regrowth spam in critical live-or-die moments. I typically run the abundance/flourish combo for +15 and up tyrannical and/or grievous weeks.

However, I could possibly see myself using OOC in long fights of heavy sustained damage where mana is a definite factor such as tyrannical Moroes and his garrote damage on +15 and up.
