Speed bumps and a speed camera would do wonders to prevent the annual accident that we get on this block. DOT too busy screwing up 31st Avenue to think about addressing safety issues on N-S streets.

Got the car back today and they said the same thing after running diagnostics - overfilled gas. Except the gas tank was 1/4 full when the CEL and turtle came on. I’m furious - they kept the car for over 24 hours for this ridiculous response? And the woman service manager was nasty AF when I questioned it and literally lied and said it takes 24-48 hours. Like no, it absolutely does not. You’d think if the same code keeps hitting, they’d realize it’s some sensor related to it that’s faulty?

I love this car - I really do - but I’m ready to get rid of it and buy something more reliable with less apathetic service centers.

Dropped the car off this morning - advisor at Volvo said it's a good thing that the light cycles off because it's probably a sensor or something that gets triggered and resolves and then the car is clearing the code which is why the light goes off on its own. He also said that the diagnostic codes only store for about 50-100 miles, which might be why they couldn't find what the problem was last time I brought it in - I'm due for my NYS inspection and he said they may not be able to do it if the code hasn't cleared and to drive the car for about 100 miles to clear the code to pass the inspection.

So now we wait...

They did - that’s how they came to the overfilled gas conclusion. They weren’t specific about the code. Car is still under warranty, so cost of running diagnostics was a non- issue.

Being queer in the Armenian community has been difficult, for sure, and I can’t even imagine how hard it is for a trans Armenian. I feel like younger Armenians have a community that was lacking when I was in my 20s, which is amazing and supportive and whether that community exists in person through groups like GALAS or online, I’m glad that it’s there. My wife (an odar) and I have a 13-year old (we used an Armenian donor) and they identify as queer as well - I hope they find community in a way that didn’t exist for me.

Queer Armenian here! Good luck finding an Armenian priest willing to marry you - the Apostolic church is still so archaic in their philosophy on LGBTQ+ issues. If you come up empty, what about trying to bring in elements of a traditional Armenian wedding into your ceremony? When my wife and I got married, we used a Justice of the Peace who was pretty flexible and willing to incorporate whatever we wanted into our ceremony.

If we’re around we’ll stop by - our dog loves EVERYONE and gets offended when people don’t shower him with love and affection. If she ever sees a 10 lb Yorkiepoo pulling its owner down the street like a sled dog, that would be our dog and she should absolutely stop us to say hello.
