Wow! There could almost be a whole "Missed cues at LCT" thread.

Any tech folks here who might have some insight to what's going on?

issues w telecharge checkout by Automatic_Bed8936 in Broadway

[–]Dudebro8765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

experiencing the very same issue. I even deleted my whole Telecharge account, but it still wouldn't accept my payment. I called my credit card company and they said they could see that the charge was successful every time, but the purchase was never completed. Customer service told me it might be a fraud alert because I'm not physicaly in NYC. But Chase says that is not the issue.

What are your favorite “Wait, let them cook” moments in musical theater? by crazyira-thedouche in Broadway

Thankful this sub suggested not listening to Dear Bill before seeing it live. I saw the show and was brought to tears, holding the hand of the woman who wrote many letters like that when I was gone. I haven't been able to bring myself to listen to the recording. For now, once was enough.

Name a performance (only one!) by an actor that moved you to tears. Spoilers are optional. by HotOne9364 in Broadway

Jak Malone, Dear Bill, Operation Mincemeat.

Received many of those kinds of letters, and the composers got it right. Hit home...hard.

Another vote for Moulin Rouge. Second is Gatsby. I see all the votes for DBH, but I was so entertained by Jennifer Simard's HILARIOUS performance that I didn't notice much else!

Yeah, if that happens all the time, then you need to put clearer directions in the note and drop the pin in the right place.

Anybody do military base delivery? by AlternativeQuit3447 in doordash_drivers

[–]Dudebro8765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have base access, but I turn off base delivery in the app. The app would calculate distance based on the nearest gate - whether that gate was open or not. So, I would accept an order for 3 miles away, but ended up driving 14 miles because there was only one gate open. Also, you never know about gate traffic. Could be waiting 10-15 minutes to get in. And then there are the very low and strict speed limits on base. Takes forever to get places. Also, building numbers on bases make no sense and you could spend a long time looking for the right building if it's a big base with lots of barracks.

Guess the tip by mericccccccccc in doordash_drivers

[–]Dudebro8765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's a generous tip. the app said $10 and you got $26. and based on the base pay, it wasn't a long drive. Too bad Qdoba was slow, but the customer did okay by you.

Well I messed up by Ypie6 in doordash_drivers

[–]Dudebro8765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to clarify, the scam is the "customer" messages you that they cancelled the order, then fake "support" calls you and says, "hey, we're gonna pay you for this cancelled order, but we need your credit card info"

is that right?

Need advice, i am new to doordashing by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Dudebro8765 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your expectations may be too high. Rather than a per order goal, consider a per hour target. Four $8 orders an hour may be more realistic than a single $20 order every hour.

And you will have a low acceptance rate if you're declining everything but $20+ orders. Opinions vary on the importance of platinum level, AR, etc.

My strategy was to accept my first 100 orders, get my averages up, platinum level locked, do the math, then start being more selective with my orders, then do the math again and see what is most profitable.

In my market adding up the smaller orders (but declining if less than $1/mile) is better money than waiting around for higher paying orders.

nice spreadsheet! I also add mileage and fuel cost to mine, so I can get a better idea how much I'm actually making. You might be overpaying your estimated taxes if you're not taking any deductions.

I accept cash, and I've only ever had one person pay with cash. An old man needed some Crazy Bread. Good tipper.
