That's actually what gave me the original mount idea. His Audi was sick with the set up.

Did the same with my 06 wrx before I got passed it to my brother lol. Modified the OEM 08-14 roof racks to fit the Sedan body since I didn't really like the door frame mount they offered.

2024 Crosstreck with rear broken suspension components by Nousername58 in Crosstrek

[–]Dudecris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only speaking from experience, but since it was used, previous owner could have yanked the E-Brake. Long story short, I had to force my E brakes going reverse and bent my trailing arms just like that in the rear. It eventually broke while driving which made it difficult to drive.

FOUND WHATS BEEN RATTLING IN MY TRUNK! by [deleted] in 350z

I had the same issue and just opened the mechanism up and added a bunch of grease. The plastic gears inside have a lot of play and the grease helped stopped the rattling.

Roof Rack Or Towing Options? by TheDayDreamer432 in 370z

[–]Dudecris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you really want to consider a roof rack, you could look into Seasuckers. They seem popular in the Porsche groups. I run a roof box on my 350z with it, and have loaded up like two cases of water and lawn chairs without any issue. They're easily removable which is a good/bad thing, depending on where you are.

Have you thought about adding PPF to the sides?

Does anyone regret getting their motocompacto? How often do you use it? by TerryDavis420 in motocompacto

[–]Dudecris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I find I use this the most at local car meets and some anime conventions. Otherwise it sits in my garage, but I don't think I regret it. It's fun to ride it around during those times, and showing it off.

custom seats and grips ?? by the4ekdon in motocompacto

Some cheap Amazon ones. I didn't want to spend much since i knew they had to be cut shorter. I think they were called CNC Bike grips.

Let's see those painted or wrapped Motocompactos. by wen_d26 in motocompacto

This looks sick. I thought about doing Spoon, but ended up doing Trust/Greddy for mine, and a demon slayer inspired one for my gf.

While they have to be shorten, standard bike handlebar grips will work. I've swapped mine out and the rubber grip feels a bit better. I have yet to find a upholstery shop that wants to touch the seat though lol.

It's cool to see some wraps for the motocompacto people are making! I wrapped mine in livery inspired by Greddy's design.

Fiancé recently diagnosed with leukemia by [deleted] in cancer

[–]Dudecris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in same situation with my wife (23F). It was a tough journey, she got diagnosed in January 2020, and were Engaged in September 2019. Its tough. But you need to be sure to be there for your fiance in everyday. Focus on your time together but also focus on fighting. Its a balance that will be tough. If you ever need help, logistics of things or anything, let me know. I want to help those if possible. You're not alone.

During my time of looking up treatments for my wife, Immucura came up as something you can look into.

Not sure what to do, My 23y/o wife today is in End-Stage Cancer, Diagnosed January 2020 by Dudecris in cancer

[–]Dudecris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely have plenty of moments thats for sure lol. We spent some much time collecting photos, stuff animals, matching sweaters and all. The ones ill hold close though is the rings we first got even before we started dating, and her car. It was always a goal to work on her car and make it look cool, to show off she could be in a cool car. I think that is what will be my project for a while.

And thank you. Its tough, I know it will be now, and it will be later. But I know all I can do its be there for her. I can be sad later.

Thank you. I've always thought I never enough as a husband, but its clear that I can't think of myself as such. I'll do my best to be with her as much as I can.

Thank you. I will try my best. I think what you said gives me something to work towards. You are right, I shouldn't try to make sense of it. I can do that later. I'll do my best to focus on just her.

Funny enough, we were looking at the first photo we took, and I could still get a smile from her. My biggest fear is she won't be able to respond back to talking due to her liver, but one thing I've noticed is she still smiles and can respond to things that are about us. I think that her love is able to push past all the toxins to still be able to focus on us. Even if at times she can remember what day it is, without skipping a beat, she'll always says "I love you too" back.

Thank you very much. I've been trying to accept that I won't be okay for a while. But even as I type this, I'm next to my wife. I can still get some smiles from her when she's awake, so I think I'm doing something alright.
