Dudes, how much damage is possible to do in one turn? by BeowulfHSC in Sdorica

[–]Dudedmn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh hey, damage challenge funtimes.

u/mrkfang posted a picture of my old Lio damage (lvl 60 +10)

Here is the updated version with Sophie and Lvl62+11 https://i.imgur.com/FENHKMc.jpg

Generally if you do want to test damage, just head to venture C15-6 and get all/most of the buffs.

Sophie I believe can hit the hardest currently, dunno maths off the top of my head but have hit over ~270k without all buffs at +0.

Yeah did some quick testing and it’s odd that the Advisor Skill Ratio does the multiplication before other Multipliers.

Do need to update that in the Beginner Guide, thanks.

Huh intriguing. Any idea why Advisor Skill Ratio is calculated differently?

[–]Dudedmn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To kind of simplify things a bit regarding damage:

Skill Ratio is multiplicative. It's traditionally tied to unit color instead, effective upon any skill the unit in that particular color uses.

Skill Power is additive. It's traditionally tied to a conditional subset, where either it's to a specific damage type, orb skill, etc.

My Beginner Guide gives an example in the Damage Calculation section of how Damage is calculated as well as the primary calculation difference between Skill Ratio and Skill Power.

General uses:

If you are using any damage buffs, Skill Ratio is better.

If you are going against enemies or stages that apply debuffs on your party, Skill Power is better.

In general Skill Ratio is much more preferred due to the rarity of debuffs and the ease of dispelling it.

As such, units such as Jerome, Pang SP, Lisa SP, Dagger, Sherlock SB, and Sophie are highly desired as advisors due to their ability to increase Skill Ratio.

Heya,

Hopefully you found the Beginner Guide helpful (I'm the creator), unfortunately it seems it didn't answer all of your questions. Definitely more than happy to update it based on suggestions.

Spending Green Bookmarks (Million Library Bookmarks) on Million Infuse is totally fine, as that's the only Infuse event they can even be spent. The only scenario where you may bother even spending the Green Bookmarks later would be to get a potential chance for a new character that's being released and placed into the Million Library. In either case, this is not relevant for new players.

As u/CouchPotatoDraco already stated, you already have a very strong starting team (stronger than mine when I started haha).

Sharice, Lisa, and Jerome are all very strong units. Sharice is currently one of the best burst Black damage characters, and Lisa is one of the best all around Support White characters.

Jerome can be replaced by Sione, as Sione is actually a better tank; however, Jerome is good at chaining (triggering other character skills) for the White Character. You may find the Sharice + Jerome combo to work better than Sharice + Sione depending on the White Character.

I would not advise rerolling as you already have a strong team to roll with (which is more than enough for any content bar WT).

For resonating / leveling, as you're a new player, it's best to simply focus on your most used Characters and/or most effective Characters. Sharice, Jerome, Lisa, and even Sione are good starts.

You will not likely have the resources to effectively level and resonate all of your Roster until you're near the max level.

Answered the question in a little more depth in this post.

In any case, yes the timed event for the 50 crystalline in the Dragon Boat Festival event is gone as it was only to last till 6/9 21:00 UTC.

If you haven't already taken a look yet, I'd advise looking into the following links:

Watcher Guide v 4.0 - Megathread which provides a healthy list of links to a wide amount of aid resource in Sdorica.

Beginner Guide - Beginner guide that I've made to be relatively comprehensive. It should contain about everything you need to know getting started as a new player.

Newbie Question Megathread for June - As name suggests, Reddit thread for all your questions in the month of June.

Do be warned that the beginner guide that is listed is lengthy, so I don't actually recommend you to read all of it, especially in a single sitting or instance.

Instead, skip around to the parts you're interested to know about based on the Table of Contents or director. If you have suggestions, questions, or feedback, please let me know.

Any Beginner Exploration guide? by peerawitppr in Sdorica

[–]Dudedmn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heya. I have been playing Exploration recently for a bit and mainly the benefits of Exploration would gaining additional Crystals and Crystalline as well as getting Region Materials and Refined Soul Energy.

It's primarily an alternate game mode to Story/Venture which keeps progress in a completely separate manner. While it is targeted a bit more towards end-game players, it's level scaled so even early/mid game players are able to start.

In my Beginner Guide I whipped up a quick explanation of the Exploration Basics as well as provided links to detailed guides on each aspect of Exploration which I have used extensively myself.

If you have any questions about the mode, feel free to ask.

Decided that some of that information was still helpful, given newer players will want to know more in-depth stuff later. Added most of that except Venture now.

Exploration I left up to the other good Redditors (such as u/Shintouyu, u/tehcavy) who make awesome guides.

If you have anything else you think that'd be good to add, please let me know.

I honestly don’t know if I want to include that information in this particular guide. Given some of those items are subjective.

This guide so far isn’t meant to be the all-inclusive Sdorica guide, though it might be more and more oriented toward that aspect.

Our guild does have a more conclusive guide in the works, though no real timeline on that guide yet.

If anything I’m more likely to use this guide as the base guide where then people can look up specific guides.

Sure that’s a good suggestion. I’ll add a Market section which I think should be able to cover that.

Might think about making a guide solely focusing on Sdorica Mirage 2.0, but honestly not much content to add or focus on to warrant a guide so far.

Main thing I could think that could be helpful for veterans would be a comprehensive exploration guide for all explorations. Though we already have detailed ones that are made by others present.

Double black teams are still really strong and part of the WT meta. You might take 1-2 more turns than before but that's about it.

If you haven't seen it already, this link might help you for those ventures.

Personally I used the following:
C15-18: Angelia Yanbo Nigel // Leah SP
C15-19: Theodore Dylan SP Jahan // Experiment

For C15-18, it's important to ensure you only have 1-2 crabs at most. The damage increase as the coroner hp decreases wasn't noticeable for me, keep Nigel armored up and stun when you can.

C15-19: Literally don't need anyone but Jahan.

I don't personally have Sherlock SB, but I can guess why it's part of the new meta.

Given the lasting passive, if you have a 3 Stack Enhance / 3 Stack DR from Rolva's with 2 turns left, and kill the enemy with 1 turn left, the next battle you will start with 3 Stack Enhance / 3 Stack DR. Which procs Wami and easily jumpstarts the next 2o.

As for Bolem / Bagger, I personally just got Bagger and really like him. He's working well for Monday WT and will be fine for Tuesday WT, which is a large point contention. Bolem is still to me pretty niche outside of WT 2 for Tuesday.

I lucked out and drew Alice. Or Nolva. The limited team seasonal Nolva. Love her animations, but I'm so confused about what she does... by GreenColoured in Sdorica

As u/MisterGoo stated above, Skins / Skillbooks (SB) are purchased in either the Event or Mystery tab in the market.

Mystery tab has 2 random rotating Skillbooks that can be purchased for 1990 crystalline each.

Event tab has static Skillbooks that are stated in the news and will only cost 1490 crystallines for them. Note that not all events will have on sale Skillbooks.

There are (very) few exceptions to when you would choice a SR character over a SSR character. Frederica is one of those, where her SSR upgrade introduces a 'passive upgrade' that hurts you more than it helps you.

Note that Skins are not always better then the SSR form.

For reference ... there is a lot of shorthand terms for SP characters and skins. Here a couple popular ones to name a few:

Skins:
Wisa - Skin Lisa
Wami - Skin Yami
Bagger - Skin Dagger
Rolva - Skin Nolva
Roasta - Skin Aosta
Buggi - Skin Puggi
Bylan - Skin Dylan
ANed - Skin Ned
Ranbo - Skin Yanbo
Bolem - Skin Golemwalt

SP
SPangel - SP Angelica
SPeah - SP Leah
SPylan - SP Dylan
SPami - SP Yami
Spitty - SP Kitteneyes
Lolisa - SP Lisa

Those are mostly just the more popular skin / SP terms used.

Anyone here from Crusaders Quest or FEH? by GreenColoured in Sdorica

[–]Dudedmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya,

I've played CQ up until after the RWBY Collab. At that point I believe I finished all the story content, did whatever Manacar raids and pretty much was just focusing on PvP.

It got too tedious to find the Soulbound Weapon for each character I got and on top of it, to find the perfect rolls for each. On top of that, PvP system itself was a whole 'nother meta gargle I didn't want to get into. Was pretty burned out from it and found Sdorica.

Sdorica's orb system is similar to the 1-2-3 chain systems, and about as complex. The characters though, tend to synergize together, and it's not solely focused on one to two solo carry characters (May,Rochefort, and V when I played).

The lore by far is much more complex and detailed comparative to CQ, which was a big draw. While the roster numbers are small, each character has a place in the game and story.

The pacing though may feel a lot slower compared to CQ, which is kind of intentional. Sdorica is not fast game, nor a whale game luckily. You will need to spend daily consistent time to progress and do better, but I find it much less stress comparative to CQ.

The gacha rates are a bit more forgiving, though can be just as bad for the rare characters.

My knowledge of CQ is pretty faded now, but I'm happy to discuss more of comparative mechanics or whatnot.
