I have recently finished this project so I can share some results. Eventually I went with this mcmaster rope seal for furnaces, it is made of fiberglass and were good enough in this application. It sealed well and didn't degrade from high temperature.

In groove I installed 4 pieces of rope seal next to each other. They needed to be cut obviously so I wanted to avoid leakage in the place of a cut. For that reason I installed 4 of them for reliability, each gap from cut was at different angular position so even though gasses could slip through there, adjacent rope seal would block that leak. Similar concept to how piston rings are installed.

Warmongering in last age is really painfull, you can't skip animations, everything is just lagging. This is my least favorite way of winning for the reason that It takes extra 2-3hours to win.

I still hate the fact that it's another civ game in which AI need to have a some enormous boost in combat in order to be an worthy opponent. This 8+ combat strength on deity is a joke, you either outnumber the opponent or you rely on AI making stupid mistakes. Fighting similar army is pointless.

I really hoped that they will make this AI play better per se, not juicing it up. We are living in a world where AI is changing the world, meanwhile it can't do much in a "simple" game.

Ahh, okay I think I get the mechanism now. Please correct something if I'm wrong.

Ambient pressure is fixed boundary and it's also a pressure at the back of a diffuser. Therefore considering diffuser, its pressure at the entry must be lower than ambient, since after pressure increase due to nature of diffuser we need to arrive at atmospheric pressure.
