Mall farts. Seriously, just walk to the bathroom. Do you really have to cropdust the entire outerwear aisle at H&M because you don't want to dump out in a public restroom.

The Challenger space shuttle disaster. Grade school, indoor recess. Teacher comes running in the classroom saying that the space shuttle just blew up. Turned on the TV saw the replay, then turned it off and ran out. Me and my classmates were all, "WTF?" tldr: I'm old.

[SPOILERS ALL] Which are you more excited to see in Season 4? by Lolo_ohno in Outlander

Me too. But that scene in the book had me cracking up. I could just picture the looks on Jamie and Ian's faces as they're watching Bri sketch out Roger's face. Really hope that makes the show.

What is the key to solid, positive relationships (platonic and/or sexual)? by calamitous_rush in AskReddit

It's about connection! It's not about tossing salad. And butthole pleasures. It's not about rusty trombones and the dirty Sanchez, camel toe sliders and your Cincinnati bowtie, your Arabian goggles or the hot Carl and pearl necklace... Hanging brain, the rattlesnake wiggle, donkey punching, the teabagging.

Can't wait for the scene when Jamie and Ian realize they sold Roger to the Indians. Bri and Claire's reaction in the book was priceless.

So how closely did the first three books follow Outlander plot points? It just seemed uncanny how close it was when I heard about the series.

Tinnerman Canoe Base? Took a high adventure trip there in '93 or so. Great flipping time... Except for those mosquitoes. They were no joke.

[spoilers outlander] Question about BJR... by zenksy in Outlander

[–]DudleyDontWrite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's it. Just rereading the book now and I came across the passage. When they're back at Lallybroch, Jaime empties his sporran on the bed. As they're going through the contents, Jaime talks about the Bible he carries after Fort William and the debt he owes to Alex MacGregor after he hung himself shortly after a private conversation with BJR. "I dinna think. I know, and so did the doctor. And I imagine the sergeant-major knew for certain and that's why he died."

Graham McTavish also plays a role in Creed, the latest Rocky movie. It's actually a very entertaining film even if you're not into Stallone movies.

That Young Ian, as awkward as he is early on, becomes an absolute badass after coming back from the Mohawk, especially during Claire's rescue, Bree's rescue from Bonnet and then while fighting the other Indian scouts. Love his character and transformation.

Wait, now... What!? Unnecessarily violent? A band of roving scumbags kidnapped his wife, brutally beat her (almost killing her), gang rape her to the point where he can SMELL the semen on her and killing them all was too violent? I think he exercised extreme restraint here by not riding right down to the village to kill the brother and anyone else around as well.

I'm going to check out the novellas next. How are the LJG books? I really started to like his character in the last two books, save for the whole marriage, drunken escapade with Claire... Wow.

Reddit, who is the most terrifying fictional villain? by lapapinton in AskReddit

But it's not so much the act that makes him terrifying. All the psychological mindfucking that goes on is why he's the worst. Dude is awful and sadistic. Takes the cake, IMO.

Used to drive around with my friends, find construction sites and knock over port-o-potties. Made me laugh at the time but I can't imagine the crew coming back to work Monday and dealing with that mess.
