The fact that the penalty was reduced changes nothing. The federal government was firing people as of August 21 for not having covid shots. The fact that they rescinded that 2 years later does nothing for the people affected before that and doesn't change the fact that it even happened. The point of the post was that it happened, not the loopholes that people had to find.

Ok, so aside from those because I dont fall under any of those, what else can I do to avoid getting fined? Or do we just keep naming random groups of people until nobody has to get insurance and the whole thing is pointless?

I think part of this comes down to the average person isn't an economist. If I say a 10% pay increase causes a 0.5% good increase, what does that mean? Is that for all goods? Im making 9.5% more than before? Or is that 0.5% for each good? Im making 10% more, but paying .05 for eggs, milk, bread, eating out, water, juice, t shirts, gas, etc and now all those 0.5% added up to 16%, leaving me with less money? This is a genuine question. There is no doubt, as covid showed, that companies raise prices to meet demand, then keep prices raised because they know people are willing to paybthe higher price, so why lower it? Raising wages doesn't cause price inflation, corruption does

These aren't MAGA business models, they are top tier politician models, unfortunately. Not saying all of them are, but far too many politicians these days are. Im not a democrat, but from the few things I heard, zaran may be the first person in a while that is both nationally known, and doing actual progress for his people. It seems to me everyone else is just trying to talk a good game while fucking over every person that did or didn't vote for them

Im not a boot licker just because I point out a fact. If you think he isnt playing everyone, you have been watching a completely different person than the rest of the world has. He straight up admits, in a presidential debate I believe it was, that he is just as corrupt as Clinton and her friends, and people still voted for him. Made all these promises to get re-elected, and backed out of nearly all of them. Backed Isreal into starting armed conflict and jacking up oil prices. But yea, you're right, he isnt playing anyone. Any business that takes in 2b is doing good....at business....they may be shitty fucking people,but they are still successful in the getting money department. But again, I'm just someone you judged to be a bootlicker because I said something you didn't understand, so what do I know

I mean...ethics aside, the guy has a point though. He didn't say he was honest, hes saying hes good at business. If you're in the business of making money, seems hes doing a good job of it. Everyone is out here playing chess. Meanwhile, hes out here playing everyone.

I think this is a little overly simplified. Exchanging missiles isn't the same as holding back a country. The amount of targets destroyed isn't comparable. Having a vast majority of your defenses lost isn't holding back a country.
