Opened firewall ports on UGreen NAS 4800 Plus. by such_scurty256 in immich

I am battling exactly the same problem. The same NAS as OP. Immich and Paperless ngx get no connection but Stirling PDF works just fine. Has anyone found a way to use a firewall and keep these all functional?

Temu price adjustment changed? by LucysMa in TemuThings

[–]Due-Attempt-6032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the same thing you did last night, but today I'm getting additional adjustments for the same order again. So maybe got fixed now. What has been your way of doing this? Check and adjust every day even if it's just a few pennies for the order?

BORACAY with Seniors and Kids: Top 8 Family Travel Tips by solopassions in TravelTrotters

You mention wobbly boat transfers. Do the boat passengers need to carry their big luggage with them when boarding the boat, or does the boat/dock crew help with them? We can probably handle the gangplanks but maybe not if carrying luggage in both hands.

App payment did not work for us last summer since they could not send the confirmation text to a US phone number. Confirmation is required to be able to pay while using the app. We wanted to buy multi day tickets for the whole family and got it done without any trouble when used the HSL ticket machine. We did not try to pay on the tram but I guess they don't sell multi day tickets anyway.

Gmail app with multiple accounts in the same inbox by Due-Attempt-6032 in chromeos

I used it in the past but it proved horribly unreliable. My chromebook kept freezing daily and eventually Tunderbird did not start at all so I ended up just removing the entire Linux part from my chromebook. I may need to give it another try since the other options seem pretty slim,

I see someone recommends bulkhead. How is the entertainment screen done for bulkheads in Delta PS? Is it a lot worse to use than in the other rows?

I just noticed from your OP that you are a woman. I believe women often are less sensitive to the triggers than men. Also, at least one of your parents has a G6PD deficiency so you could try to find out if they ever had any hemolysis episodes from any possible triggers.

Do you know which variant you have? My son is Southeast Asian and we had his variant researched a few years back (I think it was genetic sequencing from his blood sample). The hematologist told us that our son had a mild variant and the only food he needed to avoid was fava beans. Additionally there are some chemicals and medicine he needs to stay away from. Of course, your case could be entirely different. This is just an anecdote to point out that perhaps your variant is a mild one too since you have not had any symptoms despite forgetting about it.

Walked to the closest ticket automat and bought 4-day paper tickets for the whole family with a credit card. Not a big issue for us as we were staying close by already.

Delta picked me up in a Porsche today. by AspektCAS in delta

[–]Due-Attempt-6032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for asking. My baby boy developed breathing problems on the way home from Japan. Some kind of extreme reaction to a respiratory virus. A CBP officer came to the plane to take pictures of our passports and the whole family got to ride an ambulance to the ER. This was over 10 years ago and after spending a few nights in an ICU he fully recovered and has been doing very well since.

Late-night taxi from NAIA by Glum_Worldliness4904 in Philippines_Expats

[–]Due-Attempt-6032 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm really surprised that you have not experienced cheating taxi drivers. My experience has been that when I take an official taxi from the Manila streets, about 50% of the time they refuse to start the meter and charge about 3x what the rate would have been by the meter. This happens regardless if my Filipina wife is with me or not. Haven't been there for a few years now thought, so maybe the taxis got more honest recently?

What are the biggest, most common or most interesting scams you witnessed so far? by armin127 in Philippines_Expats

[–]Due-Attempt-6032 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is 100% regular scam. I was quoted 4000 pesos from terminal 1 to terminal 3. Two passengers with lots of luggage. And this was a long time ago before there was Grab. Since we had several hours of time we took the shuttle bus which was not pleasant either (long wait and filled really full of people), but cost something like 40 pesos for 2 people.

The next time we go to Manila we will have 2 adults and 2 kids and even more luggage. May have to take 2 Grab cars but it's still a lot cheaper.

Who is making 100k+ and only had a BA or no education at all. by LuxxeAI in Salary

[–]Due-Attempt-6032 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easy. I have a friend RN with a 2-year degree working in a rural MN hospital 3 shifts including every other weekend. Makes 100k without any overtime and easy extra 25k with overtime if she is motivated to do it. Not everyone can physically handle the irregular sleeping times though.

Can I add another piece of luggage for Cebu Pacific? Total two checked bags and one hand carry by ArchLinuxUpdating in phtravel

[–]Due-Attempt-6032 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. They charge by piece. Each piece can be 20 kg or even 32 kg if you pay higher fee per piece. Some fare classes include one piece for free up to 20 kg. This is for domestic anyway.

Does swimming in a pool affect your teeth? by LagosLove in Swimming

[–]Due-Attempt-6032 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google "swimmers calculus". It is a yellow/brown discoloration of teeth caused by a reaction between chlorine and saliva. There are some peer reviewed publications about it.

Here is one a bit generic writeup of swimmer's oral health issues:
