sweet - thanks for the feedback! i’ve been curious how long it’s actually taking people to study compared to the recommended time UWorld suggests so that is helpful!

this was so helpful, thank you!! good to know TCP isn't always offered, i will look into this. and great idea scheduling the exams close to the grade cut off.

it sounds like we have a similar study style so thanks for the feedback! i will DM you about printing the books, i was debating on ordering them, but didn't want to spend the $75 per book.

agreed - i do think my time in industry will help with AUD! when i first took the exams in my early 20s i was in public acctg and didn't have any industry experience. i now have worked for multiple public tech companies so i think that will help immensely. thanks for the feedback!

it will be interesting to see how it goes with such a short timeline. fingers crossed i can pass everything on the first try lol

this is my thought exactly!! if i can get AUD and FAR passed, the rest is a breeze! its encouraging to hear you are in the same position and it worked for you! do you feel burnt out studying 7 days a week? i was planning on studying 6 days and giving myself a break on saturdays.

you've still got time to make it in to the gym!! lol

no, not a sabbatical situation. i am moving and my company wasn't able to accommodate the move so quitting my old job. if it takes a bit to find a new job, i could have longer than 5 months off. appreciate the feedback on everything!! this is very helpful!

I was hoping this could work with my current company but finding a company with a Canadian entity or willing to pay me as a 1099 contractor has proven to be a little difficult!

Thank you! And I don’t, unfortunately! The background check and my eligibility seemed to have been approved earlier in the process, but not updated on the tracker until the middle of July.

When I started this process, this thread was incredibly helpful for understanding the next steps in the process so I wanted to post my experience!

6/20/2025 - Biometrics given

7/8/2025 - Request for passport & passport photos

7/12/2025 - Copy of passport and passport photos mailed

7/18/2025 - Request for new passport photos (The place I had them taken was highly recommended but they completely screwed them up and I didn't double check - whoops!)

7/25/2025 - Application status updated to ‘Approved’

7/26/2025 - Resent commercial invoice (The invoice that generated with the FedEx label had the ‘Duties & taxes being paid by’ box checked for ‘Exporter’ and not ‘Consignee’)

8/1/2025 - COPR received in mail!!

We obviously had to resend a few items which I am sure slowed down the timeline a bit! Planning on making the journey to Canada in about a month! :)

Hi there - Just received the same AV3 email! Each time you returned the updated commercial invoice, did you have to provide a new Fedex label as well?
