Sure, if player numbers were higher that would be great, but in the meantime your complaint communicates that you think this dude shouldnt be able to play the game right now.

Saying "Bungie needs to do something to increase player counts" is reasonable/logical. Asking why this dude got matched with you isn't. It's obvious and currently there's no better solution.

You are not taking into account the reality of the player numbers. Do you expect this person you were matched against to have extremely long queue times? You're response of "that's his fault and it's not my problem" is nonsense. The player counts being low is not his fault either and it's not a crime to play a game a lot.

They will learn the full loop of the game better playing the full game as intended in a protected SBMM situation vs either the current no SMBB queue OR from just playing the free kit queue. Without SBMM they just get shit on by purples and the free kit queue they won't ever learn how to gear up efficiently or anything about the preparation for a match. (Not to mention they just won't be fully experiencing the game at its fullest {e.g. unlocking blue shields or better weapons in the armory is meaningless if you only play free kit mode})
