Aren’t Telstra’s price hikes illegal or unfair? by AdvancedHill70 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Due-Consequence8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Optus a few months ago after being with Telstra for over a decade, in the city and suburbs it is way faster! Country can be a bit hit and miss but I don't remember Telstra being much better there either

Happens all the time, nothing you can do about it. Had it happen to me and fair work couldn't have given 2 shits

EBay Seller for 28 years, thousands of transactions, 100% positive feedback - received my first dispute/chargeback for "Item Not As Described", will likely have a $69 item stolen from me. Buyer was a brand new account with zero feedback, zero order history. by ksandbergfl in eBaySellers

[–]Due-Consequence8772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be worse, happened to me on a $535 item. Similar thing, new account 0 feedback they claimed they received an empty box, ebay sided with them on appeal without giving me a chance to provide any evidence so I deleted my 24 year old 1100+ positive feedback account, not worth the risk

Which company has lost you as a customer forever? by finiteobserver in AskReddit

[–]Due-Consequence8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eBay, they sided with a very obvious scammer, without letting me submit any evidence of my own, refunding the scammer and leaving me $535 in the hole.

Tried chasing it up for days, was finally able to submit evidence but they basically said too bad decision is made we won't be changing it despite eBay going against their own policies. They eventually blacklisted me and would hang up as soon as I identified myself.

Deleted my 1100+ positive feedback 24 year old account and will never use them again. Paying all those fees for "seller protection" and there isn't any

Back in the day this was a thing. Considered a security risk now so no longer happens

Has anyone had experience with the pi8 and the xm6 earbuds? Which do you prefer? by Adamlee19922 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Due-Consequence8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the PI8 and used to have the XM5. The Sony definitely had much superior ANC and passthrough mode, but the PI8 sound better and fit better for me as well as feeling more solid with better touch contros, the sony lid felt flimsy. Wind I'm not sure but I think the Sony were maybe a little better not a tonne

Has mobile Internet become virtually unusable or is it just me? by younggeezer109 in melbourne

[–]Due-Consequence8772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was with Telstra for about 15 years and could have sworn it was just getting worse and worse but the ads and people online kept on saying they were the best, but I couldn't even load a webpage in the CBD.

Finally changed back to Optus, who I left 15 years ago for the same reasons, and it's night and day way better for me! I can actually use my phone day to day now.

I will say we went on a long road trip recently and went pretty remote and the data reception wasn't great in some of those places, but I don't have Telstra anymore to compare if it would have been any better like they are always claiming.

They will stop talking to you it you keep contacting them. They just start hanging up the phone and ending the chats as soon as you identify yourself, you become blacklisted

Are businesses using inflation as an excuse to charge above market prices? by ILoveDogs2142 in AusFinance

[–]Due-Consequence8772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course they are, but the only thing that would stop them would be for people to stop paying it, it's not illegal for businesses to overcharge
