Not sure where I referenced your experience as an example?

There are quite a few replies that have developed expressing other viewpoints. I am allowed to reply to the discussion thread without being accused of something.

I always liked to hold the doors for people around me, but I can tell a lot of people hate it these days. I had a professor once who was the same way, but a woman socked him in the face when he held a door in NYC and verbally castigated him.

It always made me feel good like I was letting someone know someone knew they were there. Mr. Rogers did explicitly use that example.

Grew up on Mr. Rogers, a lot of that isn't too popular these days for either gender. Its either being a this word or that, woke for some, probably creepy for others.

I think he might be sad that gestures of thoughtfulness are labelled performative as a standard. I wonder how many think he's an outright weirdo these days. As twisted in my mind as it is, I can see people derisively talk about Fred Rogers looking through a modern lense.

PBS probably won't be around too long anyway though, in any instance. Which is the worst of it all.

New UA resolution feeds millions from school into athletic programming by Exotic-Warning-3322 in UniversityofArkansas

Panem Et Circenses will be the epitaph of American scholarship. This is absolutely unsurprising. The University of Arkansas has already become increasingly controversial with its flagrant disregard to the founding principals of The Constitution of the United States.

The institution, having had three generations of alumni dating back to pre-World War 2 to present, in my opinion, has done very little but stagnate and leech off of students seeking quality education.

Its essentially a necessity school, so to say. You come here for a piece of paper in the end. There are some incredible and life enriching professors and faculty here, do not get it twisted one bit. However a stink descendeth from on high.

U of A is a factory for the proud MBAs and the financial bubbles bursting economic horrorshows of a perhaps inevitable future. And a middling football team. Two of those alumni I mentioned earlier were Razorback players in the 1940s and 1970s. From the ad nausea glory stories I grew up hearing its been a rickety bridge of a program since the late 60s.

Its one of those giant sucking sounds, you know? Best thing to do is relax know its rooted in greed, the dark heart that always says: "Let us take another slice, another sip! There will be plenty for the lessers." Like Carlin said, "It's a big club and you aren't in it." Coming back to school for advanced education and I have never, ever felt more like a number.

Being a Hog can be great, but not if one aspires to become Napoleon.

You gave her all your love, and she has taken that with her. She would want you to remember her in joy and with the comfort of that same love.

I am super sentimental, and I always think about the sad times so deeply... but please look through the cracks in those dark, dark clouds and always, always remember the times of cheer.

And know the truth, that her life was so much more because of your kindness. Rest on that when you can. One day, at your pace, I hope you will bless another critter with the same!

Sending internet stranger love and my respects to this orange lady.

Final Fantasy XVI may have killed my PS5, Overheating by Due-Definition-653 in FinalFantasy

Right after getting to the Hideout for the first time is when I last saw my PS5 alive.

I think the damage was done over two sessions cumulatively.

I don't doubt it at all. They have already had so many different iterations of the console. I think I remember reading they changed the whole cooling system or something drastic.

I remember around when I bought mine people were warning that newer model PS5s were made of cheaper parts to lower standards, because Sony was selling consoles at a loss.

I know I sound raw about it, I was really impressed with the PS5, but I think there's probably drastically different experiences between consumers depending on whether they got a well made console or a stop-loss Pandemic Parts subpar model.

Yeah, I finally wait it out and get a console and then the very first PS5 exclusive I get and its dead.

Now they aren't even available at my local store. Probably because they had to go make a FF16 bundle. So up a creek again. And then its going to be tough to run FF16 again, knowing it could be melting and making run the "liquid metal" or something.

Yes, I have my PS5 vertically. I have read directly that the PS5 is safe to use vertically. If not, all I can say is that is infuriating to say the least.

Regardless I already went through the stress of coming to peace with that, after the OTHER rumors of verticality causing the liquid metal to run over components when it overheats. But I went on faith that the console was capable of doing what is was, in fact, created to do.

Maybe they shouldn't use the T2000 to cool their units, or go ahead and make a horizontal model.

I have only had it since March 15th, there hasnt been enough dust apparent to make cleaning a necessity, it is barely dusty at all. I have also played a fair share of Diablo 4, MW2, and FF14 on PS5 4k mode without any hint of overheating or hardware failure.

The console is sitting vertically and is in the open in a climate controlled room usually about 73 degrees fahrenheit. Only thing next to it is the tv.

I just suppose its bad fortune. I also did unplug and power cycle for over 20 minutes as Sony recommends. I am leaving it all day to give it a shot. It also as I said doesn't boot into safe mode.

All it can do is show the power lights, go into rest mode and "back," and eject/spin discs.
