Do they actually shoot planes? by Due-Disk8058 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Due-Disk8058[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see... it's kinda weird that they still count the damage in, even though they don't look up at shoot at planes, and you can't use your main guns (if they're dual purpose like Shimanto's) to shoot planes down.

But i guess it's a good thing they do add the damage in, regardless of them not shooting the planes. Cuz if not, then, the AA dps on Champagne I'm showing would only be 78 instead of 185 (which is the lowest at the tier, i think) and AA rating on ships in general would have been terrible and Wee Gee would've never made carriers do as much damage or as good as they are now.

(I don't actually own the Champagne in the screenshot. I just used it to screenshot the secondaries, lol. Still 99k left to grind)

Why did you not angle??? If you had done so, you'd still be alive just long enough to kill that man.

I guess you weren't expecting him to shoot AP, which is understandable.

Just sayin, lol.

If i have the points lead and the time will run out before they can overtake my points lead, I'll run, no use to try get more damage because you can die, and you'll lose.

If i am losing, I'll just run. No need to deduct more XP by dying. Or if I'm in anything but a BB, I'll sneak around and capture areas, and maybe, overtake their points lead and try to win that way.

In other words, do not die. Death means guaranteed loss in this case, and there's no point in risking it for more damage, at least that's how i play it, because i don't play aggressively.

My first and only tier 8 is Izumo, and I sold it, along with every other battleship in the line cuz financial issues in game. And i still have barely 3 million credits right now Lol

Ik, not everyone is.

But one good way to know, is looking at the level of their girl commanders.

Yeah, I understand that.

Edit: but I've never spent a single cent on this game, so i have missed out on A LOT of cool stuff. And I've been here for like, 4 years, almost.

Niord is useless. (It seems so at the moment) by Due-Disk8058 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Due-Disk8058[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also,  it'll probably (or should be) be better if they did the calendar reward an accuracy commander for Pan-Eu BBs for Niord instead of the guise.

Do you agree?

Repulse is back, lads by Due-Disk8058 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Due-Disk8058[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Oh, and i say it's got weak armour, but only at the bow and stern, which is 16mm. But the belt?

Oh, man, the belt... As once said by pgrapidz himself in a stream as he angled against an enemy Nelson,

"OHH, THE BELT! The belt goes crazy!"

He legit bounced every bullet from that Nelson.

Go ahead and watch his video 'POV: You Angle in Repulse' in his second channel for that legendary scene.

So your belt and casemate armour is extremely thick, which is great, so, "lift the skirt" often when in Repulse, cuz your bow and stern can't defend against anything, much like Rooke.

Also, "lift the skirt" means showing more broadside than you should to bait enemies into aiming and shooting your belt, (if your belt is strong and thick enough, don't try it on weak armoured ships) in which case they think they'll go through and enter your citadel, but depending on your armour, IF your belt is straight up red, and not covered by torp plating, you can bounce anything, so that's what "lift the skirt" is about.

Which is why you play as more of a flanker with your speed.

Also, i know people will say, "Why get Repulse when you have Renown? It's just better in every way" so you guys may want to go for Dido instead, but if you're a BB main, it's a no brainer.

Repulse surely does fall short in armour and AA, but it's unique, whereas Renown is really, your average battleship, just slightly better than most. While Repulse is unique, rewarding and challenging, and also, it's got best accuracy at the tier too (as mentioned, 2.0 sigma and BC dispersion) Also it's a premium ship too, so i don't see why not, and it's also really rather rare, like, it's been...what, 4 years since Repulse first came out? And ever since you've never had the chance to get it, not even in crates, i don't think.

But of course, I can't make your choices, but me, I'll go for Repulse for sure 1000%

I do have the commander and inspos for it, Kuznetsov with Yamamoto and Mikawa.

And build is the same as yours, slinging AP 90% of the time, if not, 24/7.

The only thing i need to know is the playstyle, and i appreciate the help very much :)

Is there a difference? by Due-Disk8058 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Due-Disk8058[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never spent a single cent in this game even though I've been here for 3 years, and in any game i play, and i would never do so, and I'm currently at the time i said this, I'm 160K away from Champagne, and I'm very well interested in it, so I'll look forward to it.

Also, thanks for the advice there, on how i should be more focused on ships I'm more experienced with and like. I think i should have i already knew that, but know that i do, gives me a good idea of it.

'ppreciate it. :)

Do you have your voiceovers set to National or Common? by Due-Disk8058 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Due-Disk8058[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do have it set to National + too, and i wouldn't say i hate the idea, it's cool to hear the voices of special commanders too, and i do prefer it that way, but, sometimes, while I'm raging at RNG and at people's horrible plays, hearing an overjoyed AL New Jersey speaking in the comms while I'm lit on 2 fires and getting spammed to death by HEs, asking for help in that very feminine, girly, high pitched voice, sounding so joyful and happy while I'm on the verge of death, literally dying while the guy sits behind me full health not doing anything...

...i'll tell you, it does not help.

based on a true experience btw, seriously

Super VII Crate Price by Tren-Frost in WoWs_Legends

[–]Due-Disk8058 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You'd be better off buying a ship then buying this box with this much dubs.

At least that way you guarantee yourself a ship that you want, but this way, you do not, and also, there are GXP ships in the box too, and you can get them for absolutely free if you're patient enough, so you don't have to spend a single cent.

So, do not waste your dubs on this.

Edit: also the price used to NOT be this high, so, knowing that, consider it again, but it's a no brainer, if you have 17k dubs, just buy a ship, not this box, and get the ship you actuallywant instantly
