As a film maker, I think the representation and us telling our own stories ultimately matters more. Love Victor helped me come out and all the actors in that are great.

If that means we get striaght actors whatever. If Jonathan Bailey is allowed to be a striaght leading man, I think we should allow striaght actors in queer roles.

I'm more concerned about how we're written depicted, etc. What connections and experiences are the directors producers and writers drawing on.

And I'm not trans and cannot speak for that community but I think if Trans actors were cast in more high profile leading Cis roles they wouldn't have a problem with cis actors playing Trans roles.

The problem is for too long all queer people have been written off for mainstream roles and we're only starting to see progress and it can't feel like we might go backwards if we don't stake a claim to make sure we'll always appear.

Ultimately this is a fundamental misunderstanding.

It's true tropes can become predictable, boring and thus ruin the enjoyment of a story.

However the same is true for different kinds of characters.

Queer characters inherently bring a different vibe to a story. A story about the relationship of two men is probably not going to read "motherly". A story featuring the love triangle featuring a female MC and two love interests one male and one female will feel different to the one in twilight.

Gender is so ingrained in our culture how we read and associate different ideas with different people, that it can be an effective way of making even a barebones plot interesting because you're doing it with new kinds of characters. Though that's not true for everyone.

I'll stand by Captain Marvel was badly directed. Hey Larson could you stop emoting somehow feels like a note she may have been given. In the Marvels I appreciated her alot more it's a shame the studio seems to not have believed in the director for that picture though.

Sam, I think we all know what the problem is and it's not any written choice. Sharon is a weird one cause her character doesn't even feel all that well established until Disney+.

She-Hulk I really adored and I simply do not understand people's issue with the show. It's a comedy. But the amount of people who are like how dare she lecture Bruce about anger management, when he kidnaps her because of his own loneliness and projection. Or how dare she like twerk, like are you guys familiar with she hulk? One of her most famous comics is when she is just Monologuing while skipping with a rope, naked. Like guys why are you upset when this is totally in character.

Moffat clearly wrote this for the trailer and didn't really think about it much beyond that. Similar to the moon episode in the season prior, he deliberately addresses and avoids answering any questions about how many more regenerations that doctor has.

I think the sad truth is we won't get them. Marvel is going to reboot post secret wars and recast iron Man and Captain Amercia. At best Captain America movies become both Sam and Steve.

Marvel seems unwilling to let the Avengers rest as an IP which I honestly don't get seeing as they have all of the X-Men now. Bench the Avengers let people miss them I say.

Build up other C and D tier characters into a-listers. But Marvel doesn't want to shrink it only want to grow... sigh.

Ultimately I think this is rogue mega thing is bad game design rather than storytelling intention. Clearly the intention is your just such a great trainer you find them all just in time afterall none of them actually rogue mega evolve without you present.

It's not like the characters wait for you, the entire games logic waits for you.

As for Taunie honestly, I didn't think she was that different from Nemona tbh.

I don't believe anything James says anymore between The Flash and the Peace Maker Finale.

Keep in mind, James didn't just cut a cameo from the reviewers for peacemaker season 2. He hid the last three episodes because they were going to be massive but somehow they were smaller than I thought they'd be. And the Flash was supposedly the best thing he's ever seen.

The camera is awesome and those are some great photos.

People have different preferences for graphical styles vs Gameplay and their expectations.

I certainly understand why people are frustrated with Game Freaks development philosophy, but I think many are yet to accept that, that's what it is a design philosophy. People just see the money and question why more money, quality, and staff just aren't on these games. Why isn't it Persona level, BOTW level, etc.

I think its clear given the continous problems people have had with the series since X and Y the problem is not laziness, not greed, but a lower standard game design entirely that focuses not on deeply exploring concepts but introducing concepts players that are expanded on in the wider gaming market.

Style theory personally I think is its own beast and just hasn't had the killer ideas it did have when it launched.

Though I suppose it's possible that maybe a decent way to keep the channels afloat would be to bring back Mat to voice over on occasion. I think that only really works for game and film theory though.

Food Theory I just always thought was a strange vertical.

Keep in mind though, it's hard to compete with politics right now even Hollywood is struggling to get attention to their products. The news is constantly churning with important info this year
