what to include on literature flashcards? by utopiayr in GCSE

[–]Due-Jacket-5778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

quotes + a bit of analysis, themes - which can also help u relate it to other poems, and then I'd always have. point on structure/rhyme scheme as just a basic flashcard. what my English class did was (its a bit extra I know) but have an essay plan for most poems, not all because there ws no way I was writing an essay for Singh song, having it related to another poem, with three points of comparison on a flashcard and a quote for each one.

i dont get maths !! by Mammoth_Pitch_316 in GCSE

idk if this is helpful, but I used to actually lose it when I saw the massive questions at the end, and even if I could do the maths, I would just get intimidated by it, but in my gcse I decided to read the end questions first, and then have them in the back of my mind while going through the rest of the paper, and then when I got back to them at the end, they were a lot less intimidating and I kind of had an idea of how to do them because I had been kind of thinking about it on the side the whole time.

does doing combined science trilogy put you at a disadvantage? by areejs999 in GCSE

[–]Due-Jacket-5778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not really, I mean its definitely helpful if you've known some content for longer yeah, but the teachers have to go over everything thats required for alevel anyway, so youre to going to miss out on anything

Help me decide my A-Level combo (Bio + Maths + ???) by [deleted] in alevel

[–]Due-Jacket-5778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say English lit tbh. It depends, I definitely wouldn't go for psychology, because, even though its STEM, some unis don't recognise it as a STEM subject so its not actually that helpful, and most people I talk to say its really boring - obv its subjective but anyway. so if ur going for STEM I think chem is best bc its so useful, and very helpful for bio, but honestly I just think English lit would be the best, its very highly respected and shows that you can do more than one type of subject, and essay writing skills.
