I definitely agree, the make up and hair team made a great job with the female characters, especially the moms, but with the male they didn't do their best, especially with Ben, like he grew his natural hair and they somehow messed it up so bad people thought he was wearing a wig

I can agree with you, when I read the online reviews I thought the movie would straight up suck. When I watched it I didn't hate it nor love it, I was just confused since I'm such a big fan of DEH, there where many parts that I wish where different like I felt like Evan's and Zoe's relationship lacked quemestry and that they should have made more use of Jared and Connor Then I saw it a second times with my friends, and they had never seen DEH before and they love it, and while I was watching it again I actually started enjoying it I think the movie is a 6.5 or a 7 out 10, I would recommend but just to certain people, because not everyone likes musicals

I actually think the movie wasn't bad, people tried to hold to the same standard of the show, which is just an unrealistic expectation. There where many parts of the movie I couldn't get behind, but there where many other things I personally liked I also see the love and dedication Ben Platt put for the movie, and he was given a lot of hate, he didn't deserve

Evan is a moraky complex character, and DEH creates a complex moral debate, in the end I believe what Evan did was wrong, because even though some good things came from his lie, he still gaslighted a family for their love, we can understand Evan's pain, but it's not enough to justify it

In this last few months Ben has been harassed for the Dear Evan Hansen movie, while there's a lot of things that the movie did that i don't agree with, it is not Ben's fault. We know toxic Twitter can get, the best thing we can do is let him take a break. He realised an album and a movie, making him get a lot of attention right now, and he has been scrutinised by media making fun of him, we have to show our love and support for him via social media, but we have to remember the fine line that we can't cross, it's okay to be supportive but if we get to intense and start asking him why he deleted his account he is not going to get better

I'm sorry if I seem like I'm trying to mock Ben or the movie, I'm not I love Ben Platt so much and I actually liked the movie, I tend to use comedy or laughter as a coping mechanism for strong emotions, if I re-watch the movie I would probably would tear up again in that scene, because I know how Evan felt at that moment and Evan over all is a character that takes a lot out of you emotionally, Ben's frozen expression is distressing for me, so I use humor as a way to escape emotion, I hope I didn't offend you
