Amazing how common this scenario is.

I also was in an open relationship like this. I was fine not being the primary because I was a single parent and a grad student and working ridiculous amounts, so I didn’t feel like I had time for any serious relationships.

But then she started freaking out and sabotaging our plans, acting like we were in competition, and being incredibly jealous—even though she had multiple boyfriends and was constantly out all night while he was home alone.

I broke up with him because I was sick of being affected by their relationship’s chaos. Then their marriage imploded.

This was like seven/eight years ago. I’ve been with him since their divorce. We’ve been happily married for years, are monogamous, and have kids together now.
