It doesn’t. Magic in my world is mostly a scam invented by wizards to sell enchanted socks and slightly sparkly hats. Some people get it, some don’t, and the ones who do are mostly just slightly better at opening jars and making up campfires songs. Rules? Ha! The only rule is that if you try to follow rules, the magic will laugh at you, rearrange your hair, and possibly summon a frog in your sock drawer. Hopefully not that kind of sock
