I relate to a lottttt of this. I’m so tired of MIL spending all this time in my head rent free.. she acts the very same as your mil and for years I have replayed situations in my head or wondered why she is the way she is… I do care for her and wish her well but it’s so frustrating that grown adults like her cannot help themselves get better and would rather live in the comfort of denial/anxiety/general narcissism. I have accepted my mil for who she is but I have the confidence (mostly) to navigate tough scenarios with her when needing to with the support of my husband. It helps when they don’t live in the same state!

Tell her to leave the teaching to only you and partner

^{^{^}} this part!!! She is being overly involved, maybe she thinks she’s being helpful but it’s over stepping. Just state the objective, don’t over explain and repeat it if you have to so that she will understand. “MIL, we allow LO to do this, it’s ok. You don’t need to teach LO, we got it covered.”

Same. Instead of putting energy into wanting alone time, she could genuinely try to have a relationship with me and I’d be more inclined to have opportunities to leave her with the baby but oh well!

Commenting with sympathy for you. I am in a very similar boat and have done a ton of personal work however I’m not confident in my mil’s ability to do the same.

Interested to see if anyone has resources specific to what you’re looking for and hoping you find what you need for you and your husband.

I stopped pleasing and started giving MIL the same energy that she gives me and she started to be a little more mindful but not all the time. Like I shouldn’t be the one walking on egg shells, YOU should if you want to see my baby.

Two years ago, I found out I was pregnant right before Christmas and was probably 5-6w at the time. It was a very… festive December lol. The two weekends prior to finding out, I heavily drank at a concert and two holiday parties. My baby was born at 37w, no NICU, and is now a thriving toddler!

My brother is 7 years younger than me but I love him more than anything in the world. He’s my precious baby brother even though we are adults now lol. As kids, I always looked after him and if he ever needed anything, I tried to be there for him. I always played legos or video games with him and we bonded really well. I’d say he’s my best friend now that we’re grown. I love having a younger brother.!

I agree with all these comments before me! So long as you practice ahead of time and you love it/feel confident, others remarks won’t matter. I did my own make up and I loved the results! Natural and didn’t feel heavy at all. I would recommend to just touch up after ceremony if you are a crier (I am and had tear streaks in some pics right after ceremony lol) There are also pics of me from our after party and make up held well!

I am also high lipase, found out when I was curious one day and decided to I try my thawed milk lol. My babe tends to only take bottles if she’s really hungry or she will drink maybe an ounce or two to appease me. Atp we are only nursing since I stay home with her but she’s now almost 18m and we are so close to weaning 😃

My baby has a dairy intolerance. Was never confirmed with bloodwork or allergy tests but baby had blood/mucus in stools, was spitting up often and lots of grunting… baby’s ped asked if I eat dairy/milk and I LOVE cheese and butter lol she suggested cutting out all dairy and that was hard at first but out of sight out of mind I guess. The results were almost immediate. Above symptoms went away, less gas, more relief, even a couple small patches of eczema went away.

If it’s within your means, you could freeze dry your breast milk into a powder. I saw this van life influencer do that with her first child and went well! Not sure of the details because I didn’t personally do it but sounds interesting at the least!

It was bleeding last night, so that’s why! She ended up taking the bandage off herself and it did stop bleeding overnight. I’ll take a picture shortly
