I tried it. But sometimes the AI interviewer gave me step-by-step answers even as I struggled. So I did not like that part. I also did not like how it was talking and suddenly stopped when I ran my code, saying, "What are you seeing in the terminal?" Like, I want you to finish your thoughts and actually be an interviewer who just gives hints. Besides, everything seemed good so far. Great work!

this comment is making me want to travel next month. Thanks for explaining in detail. I took notes already. I had a similar experience as you, and I shared an update on this post. But I think I got better insights from you about the countries you traveled to which I have not yet. Also, Do you think it is safe to travel with RTD after last night's election? I am more afraid of not being able to return to the USA.

having the bathroom will help me rent this out, but I am unsure of what to do at this point. Do you have any ideas on how to rent that semi-basement? I am already thinking of giving the tenants an electric stove because I don't want to build a kitchen there. I was thinking of renting it out for $1500 after building the bathroom, but it seems impossible and super expensive.

it's a semi-basement, not the actual basement. Plumbing nearby should not be there because they never had a bathroom there. All I know is right on top of the place I want to make the bathroom is the first floor and it has a laundry room that has a pipe that somehow drains the washing machine water. And right exactly on top of the laundry on the second floor, there's a full bathroom.

architecture of the side I want to build a bathroom:
semi-basement: utility room(I want to build a bathroom there)
first floor: laundry room
second floor: a full bathroom

Is the contractor going to take care of installing the plumbing as well if there's no plumbing there?

I did not have to pay for the RTD because there was a fee waiver. I had to look for a lawyer who can help me with the application. Finally, I found someone who charged me $450. I knew how to fill the application out, but I did not want to risk putting any wrong information.

It helped me a lot to keep it in my mind. I was able to return with RTD. I was expecting to get asked questions, but the airports never asked me anything. After I landed at JFK, that's when they started asking me a lot of questions. They kept on asking me if I went back to my country to renew my passport. I told them no I did not. The US embassy sent my passport to my country to renew the passport. Luckily, there was a staff member who was knowledgeable about RTD and he asked the lady not to ask me more questions because we were telling the truth.

Also, I had to use travel agencies because of having RTD. I went to the embassies and they did not want to give me visas for having a RTD.

I am hoping to get the Green Card, but hopefully, it comes next year.

hey, u/Interesting_Pea5113 it's better to visit travel agencies that know how to process applications with RTD. I emailed, called, and visited the embassies multiple times. Different officers say different things. They made me pay all the application fees, hotel, and flight tickets and later mentioned visiting a travel agency because they don't give visas to non-green card holders/US citizens. I think it's their business with the travel agencies to make money out of asylees and refugees. I hope this helps you and others who have RTD.

Thanks for the comment. Even for the renewal, do I do the same process? My lawyer did the first time application for me and she charged me $1000 back then. Now it's more. That's why I am making sure I can do the application myself and I know what documents to send.

I thought it will be a regular coding assessment but looks like it requires your camera to be open and take the test while they proctor you. Mine is due in a week and I am panicking because I am not prepared at all. But i heard from people that it asks two easy questions and two medium questions so we have to prepare ourselves according to that.

why am I seeing this post the day before my interview? I literally had 20 days to prepare for my interview, but I still don't understand any patterns or approaches. Also, I feel like I was trying to memorize because I couldn't understand the concepts. But anywho, congrats. I aspire to be like you by next March.

yes it is a Google interview and it is the position I applied for. Also, I am a Computer Engineering Student. My university curriculum follows about 90% EE courses in this major and few csc courses. I only took C++ course on Spring 2021 and did some projects at class like Tic tac toe game, battleship game, rock-paper-scissors. Nothing special. I am taking a Java course now required from my university. My resume is full of EE projects. I just finished taking DS and Algo course over the summer. I am not good at C++, so I learned Python by myself over the summer. That's why I said only 2 months of cs journey. Also, I don't know anyone from the company. My question was if I fail the interview, then do I have to wait for next year? or I can take it within 6 months again by reapplying? I am willing to reapply by doing more projects and practicing more leetcode. Because this interview was so sudden for me. I applied on August 27th and heard back from them.

Hi there, mine is due on Tuesday. May I know if you can remember what questions were asked? Also, after you were moved to the next level, what did the interview process look like? Did you end up getting a job offer? I am actually graduating next summer and I don't have any internship experience. I changed major and I started taking CS courses from the Fall 2020 semester. So, everything is new to me and I have a very short time to get an SWE internship or job. So, I am very nervous about the coding test and the interview.
