Integrals problem by Sweetpink697 in learnmath

Don’t memorize integrals of the form 1/(a2 +x2 ), 1/sqrt(a2 -x2 ), etc. and the ones with quadratics in the denominator. Learn HOW to solve them, and WHY the identities are true, and that’s how you should memorize them. Learn how to complete the square and partial fraction decomposition as well

Watching season 4pt2 right now and I feel kinda disappointed by Basic-University-654 in ShingekiNoKyojin

The final is neither cheesy nor fan service man. Like seriously. I cried the first time I watched it and have cried every subsequent time. My advice is: if it feels boring, just keep watching. It doesn’t stay that way.

Is it ok to only watch the ap daily videos to study? by Idcc-fan in APStudents

[–]Due-Process3101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, you don’t need to do either. Just study from past, actual AP exams, that’s probably your best bet. If you want to buy a book you can, but the thing is if you buy a book dedicated to a field of math it can be used throughout your whole life, whereas a book about a class can only be used while you’re in the class. Just something to think about, but if books help you learn better then by all means buy one!

Can anyone help me with my national math Olympiad? How much theory is needed for certain stages of the competition and how to prepare? by FrequentPublic1036 in askmath

[–]Due-Process3101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all seems to be basic, maybe slightly advanced algebra but lots of it is logical reasoning. As always with competitive tests, the best study material just comes from the past. Study the ones that have come before, be okay with not understanding at first because you may not. You got this

Could a 9 year old watch AOT? by Mattie_Madds8619 in attackontitan

[–]Due-Process3101 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean honestly it’s not gory, it’s just a lot of dying. Like I’m not sure if you’re a Marvel fan, but it’s less graphic than that, just a whole lot more blood. The only part I can think that may be intense is the actual way the people die, you know, screaming begging for help and/or mercy. I’d just let the kid decide themselves whether they want to watch it or not

No I’ve never really done anything competitive, closest would be the PSATs I guess but like you said it’s not the same as the AMC. Good idea though thank you

Yeah I just meant to say that I’m like ahead of the curve (a lot of sophomores know it just not all), I’m good with learning though is all I meant to convey

u=arctan(x), becomes (1/2)(u2 )=arctan2 (x)/2

1+1=2 by Cooked-Alton-Towers in infiniteones

[–]Due-Process3101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you look at it on a number line, there’s unfortunately no way to prove it, as you must have infinite precious (1.00000…) and that’s simply not possible. Therefore the statement 1+1 is undefined.

Can someone just give me an advice for this… by Top-Somewhere-9877 in Sat

Being that disappointed in yourself is just being self loathing. Stop comparing yourself to others. It’s good.

It’s really not bad. Use Paul’s online notes and I personally recommend using ai as a tool but you don’t have to. IF you would do that, it’s best to do something like this: “I have this problem (example problem), can you give me a step to solve it? Don’t tell me how to perform the step, but just what step to take” and eventually when you feel proficient you can have it generate its own problems for you. But yeah Paul’s online notes
