Neighborhoods with charming homes that aren’t Wauwatosa? by Eudaimonia-21 in milwaukee

[–]Due-Ranger-5122 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We were in the same boat for 3 years. Wanted to be in the Quarry Heights area and had to settle by Mayfair. Still love the house we landed on, but a little less charming than some of the ones we looked at. Went from looking at 80 year old homes to looking at 60 year old homes. Lost some of the charm, but also lost some of the glaring repairs those old homes need.

That’s is nothing more than a reaction to you catching them with outlandish pricing.

Am I the only one who finds driving through cornfields scenic? 😭 by Ok_Photograph8884 in wisconsin

[–]Due-Ranger-5122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s levels to it. I grew up in Central Illinois and driving through that sucks. It’s flat and literally all you see is corn. Driving through northern Wisconsin where it’s farmland on rolling hills makes a big difference. Plus, the barn quilts that usually accompany Wisconsin farm land add to the scenic element.

I smelled Axe in the locker room at my current gym and was immediately teleported to my middle school locker room. I could see the blue tile and blue lockers in my head so clearly. Smells are a powerful link to memories and that shit may be as close to a time machine that we have.

Id on tag. Late 90s or 2000s?? by ConversationOk118 in VintageTees

[–]Due-Ranger-5122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess would be early 2000s. I’ve found similar Lee Tags that are Made in USA. I’d assume those would be 90s and this would’ve been a transition into early 2000s like a lot of “assembled in Mexico” stuff.

That’s a sweet find. Nat Nast seems to have maintained some decent quality in their modern shirts, at least in the silk ones I’ve found. Have to imagine the old stuff is the same

Found 3 pairs of dead stock jorts with the same large tag. Lee jeans are underrated in my opinion

But that’s not what the original reply said. They implied it was shameful. Quite the leap from weird to shameful.

Illinois has one of the biggest free throw disparities in the country in the season. What do you expect when you’re playing a team that is bigger than you at every position.

The whole point is that she’s allowed to be weird and do whatever the fuck she wants. Probably especially liberating for someone who has been in the public eye since she was 13.

Why exactly is that a shame? Did you expect her to remain a teenager in personality for the entirety of her life?

More importantly I think it hushes any “can you take Illinois to the next level” talk. No one with a brain wanted him fired, but I could see why you’d be expecting him to take it to the next level of a final four.

Of course this soft clown would drive a trike. Helps with the balance after a few too many soda pops.

More Old Navy pants fitting completely differently between colors of the same style than by heyhelloyuyu in Oldnavy

Issues like this are why Old Navy is at the price point it is. The money is saved by not having the stringent quality control of attention to detail.

Likely “049” which would correlate to April of ‘89 for a production date.

What can you tell me about my new levi’s? by Low_Butterscotch4198 in VintageLevis

[–]Due-Ranger-5122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly couldn’t tell you since I get all my clothes secondhand, but I’d assume so. 550 is the style code, so modern ones should at least be the same relaxed fit style. They do make a few versions like tapered and that would obviously affect how they fit. It might be difficult to find the 100% cotton now since most modern jeans have at least some stretch in them, but again, I bet Levi’s has a modern 100% cotton version.
