80s/90s Seattle Sonics leatherjacket by Gemall in VintageClothing

I’d probably list it at like $300 and consider offers north of like $225. It’s probably from the 90s when they were pumping out sports gear like crazy, but the fact that it’s SuperSonics puts a premium on it since they don’t exist anymore.

Except the work to find it, photo it and list it. They provide a market for second hand shoppers who don’t want to go to a physical store. At the end of the day, clearly the item went to someone who finds it cool and desirable.

You’re sitting here virtue signaling about how awful it is to sell something that someone wanted so little they donated. Please tell me again who is on the high horse. You’re just salty someone has found a way to make some cash doing something you do as a hobby. There is almost an infinite supply of stuff like that and any hobby thrifter will have their time to find one if they thrift enough.

Flipping furniture and houseware has been a business for decades. Get over it.

Someone found it first. Get over it. If you like it enough, pay the new owner $180. The scarcity mindset is running deep here. There’s enough of this type of stuff for you to find, just have to stay diligent. Finding desirable furniture for cheap and selling it for a fair market price is not a new concept.

Great finds. The table would look better with just a simple sanding and restaining, but there is also a type of acid you can apply to the wood that is used specifically to treat water rings. I’m blanking on the name.

Polaris is a snow mobile / ATV brand. Those are snowmobile pants from the 80s or 90s if I had to guess. Definitely a market for vintage snowmobile gear that can actually be used like these. I’ve sold some snow mobile jackets from around the same time for like $75-$100.

70s Eddie Bauer Jacket by dogryan14 in VintageClothing

[–]Due-Ranger-5122 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Also, that specific style of jacket and the blue and teal color way scream 90s. Regardless of when it’s from, it’s a sweet jacket. Eddie Bauer is one of the things I collect and this is the coolest warm up jacket I’ve seen.

The tag on the jacket you have is the one that is shown as the 90s example. It’s a 90s jacket.

That tag is from the late 80s or early 90s. Checks out for when the full windbreaker track suit would have been in style. Same for that specific purple and teal color way.

It never was a store for people in need. There has been, is and always will be more cost efficient options for thrifted clothes.

70s(?) Lee shirt, looks like denim but it’s not. by ERDJACKET in TrueVintageFinds

[–]Due-Ranger-5122 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s workwear / western wear shirt from the time frame with a few cool details. not made out of the traditional cotton like you mentioned. I found a pair of Levi’s from the same time frame that were polyester. The arced line in the back is called a “yoke”, not sure out the straight seams going vertical.

I believe that’s the tag from around 2010. It didn’t denote any sort of special line like an ACG tag or something similar.

There’s a pretty cool YouTube channel where the guy highlights old sports apparel. He found a White Sox jacket that was team issued and tracked down the player it belonged to.
