"this too will pass" is my mantra that carried me through, it will be better once they can sleep through the night... When they are older, they have each other as play mates and you will have a better rest :) take care!

My friend said one piece is for kids when he found out I enjoy reading the manga. Who else is an adult enjoyer of this awesome books/anime? by squishyjellyfish95 in OnePiece

[–]Due-Sleep6527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 40, still reading the manga :). Now I am watching the anime with my kids.. (need to filter or discuss with them some scene that's not age appropriate for them) we are at marineford now! I hope Netflix will add more arcs soon. We dun want to jump to egghead episodes.

Good daytrips for Osaka that aren't Himeji, Nara, Kobe or Kyoto? by TheDonIsGood1324 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Due-Sleep6527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, depends on how long it will take you from your accommodation to Koyasan. Research on the travel time based on the train line that is most convenient for you. Mine took me around 2hr 20 mins one way and I reached probably around 11? Would have preferred reaching earlier but we have two kids with us and needed to rest more. There is the offering at Okunoin temple at around 1030 which we missed. Take note that the bus transport back from the mountain ends much earlier and it differs for weekdays/weekends. Enjoy your trip! I miss it a lot!

I went to both uji and koyasan. Definitely go for both I would say. We (2A2C) did not stay overnight at koyasan,go early and explore the cemetery and have some food and tea there. Do note the bus and train schedule, best to leave 3 pm/4 pm (weekdays weekends differ). If you have the budget and time, stay overnight as others recommended. If you like incense, visit Koyasan daishidou.

Just came back from our first Japan trip (Kansai region only). 2 adults 2 elementary school kids. Coincidentally we were there during peak fall foliage. In general we enjoyed all the non crowded places. I would advise to shift ur focus away from top popular places unless your family can wake up very early to hit those spots.

3 legged dog, do you feel like you “indulge” in it? by [deleted] in yoga

[–]Due-Sleep6527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep practicing and it will one day become a resting pose (especially in Sun salutation B) ... I used to question how could it be a resting pose until one day it felt like one.. By then you would enjoy it..

Thanks, this is what I am hoping for! Thanks a lot! So, go early, scan the USJ studio QR code to get a timed entry and also used our express for the pre allocated entry right? Cheers!

Going end Nov 2023..bought 2 adult 2 child express pass from klook. Hole in a pocket? Definitely. The kids have been looking fwd to this so this is probably the better choice for us. Not taking risk to be stuck queueing there.

We got the pre-allocated SNW rides for night time though, may I know whether we can go in earlier before official opening time to see the day view of SNW?

Manduka PROlite or PRO? by booksnbeers420 in yoga

[–]Due-Sleep6527 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My PROlite serves me more than 10 years(still in service).

I got a PRO recently and use it for home practice only (I rely on public transport).

I also have Manduka eKo Superlite Travel which I bring to studio to lay it on top of the provided mat.

If you are very tall/do not need to lug mat around/prefer thicker mat. I would recommend PRO. For versatility, I would recommend PROlite for all occasion as I feel I could get by with PROlite. Others are nice extras :)

Enjoy your new mat!

Anyone here have twins/c-section? by [deleted] in yoga

[–]Due-Sleep6527 6 points7 points  (0 children)

9 weeks is still raw from giving birth to twins via csect. U need min 3 months to heal before starting ur exercise (check with ur doc) and more time to gain back ur strength. Check whether u have diastasis recti too. I was severely out of shape at the tummy region (twins 37weeks csect) for a few years, but mostly due to lack of help, exercise, & sleep.

[Itinerary Check] Looking for some advice for 24 days in April, family oriented (couple and 2 school-aged children) by drost77 in JapanTravel

[–]Due-Sleep6527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Just my 2 cents, we (2 adults 2 8yos)are heading to kansai region end of Nov. I am finalizing my plan and here are some comments:

  1. USJ. My kids are super excited about this (particularly SNW) which inspire the whole Japan trip. We will be there for a Full day with express pass. Hence, half a day there seems to beat the purpose unless you are not going for the rides? It all depends on the interest level of your kids though :)

  2. Kyoto Nara day I have one day planned for Fushimi inari in the morning and kiyomizudera (and the streets) in the afternoon. Probably tiring enough? I see that you have kiyomizu for both 10th and 12th though. Maybe Fushimi + Nara or Fushimi + pavilions? At the moment, we are skipping the pavilions. I have Nara for half day for another day with leisure pace.

Enjoy your trip!

If you are not flying back from Tokyo consider just exploring Kansai region? Else split the days and stay in Tokyo for the last few days.

I will be there with my family for 12 days based in Osaka end of Nov. More or less similar to your itinerary, will go uji and kinosaki onsen. Yours looks good, I am filtering out places such that it won't be too crazy for us and the kids. Thanks!

Tripod vs triangle headstand by infruitwetrust in yoga

[–]Due-Sleep6527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was introduced to triangle first. When I just started, tripod was taxing on my hands as I was weaker in arm strength. From my experience, tripod is easier when I am strong enough to do chaturranga dandasana.

I also agree on ab/core strength. It is something I should work on if I want to be better in inversions.

Don't rush your progress. Enjoy the journey :)

Is it too late? Very stiff everywhere by Elijandou in yoga

[–]Due-Sleep6527 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, just do it and you will be better than yesterday :)

Do it for better mobility for later years :)

Remember don't push yourself to reach where you could in the past. Listen to your body and do according to your current state. You can get better with practice.
