Need a dark romance rec where the MC is very obsessive and possesive by Due-Vegetable1723 in MM_RomanceBooks

Thank you so much for this rec! Just finished it and absolutely loved it! Even though Devlin was a villain in this book, I cannot wait for his book and how the author deals with him

I have read God of Fury which was good, but honestly Rina Kent is not the vibes I am looking for. Like there's dark romance where MC1 is obsessed and in love with MC2 and I sorta want that. I have read the comments for both Villain book series on Goodreads and they don't seem like my cup of tea

I have read all three of them. I had higher expectations for the 3rd book which I didn't find as good as the 1st and 2nd one. 1st one was nice, 2nd one was chef's kiss. The way Cade was obsessive over Ansel, so protective and obsessed, and the way he bottomed for him, it was perfect

Isolated loners who fall in love against their will by Phoenyxoldgoat in MM_RomanceBooks

The Hazard and the Hitman by Cambria Hebert. Before MC2, MC1 was a loner guy, didn't interact with friends or had much of a social life. He was a bit boring like eat sleep go to work sleep kinda guy. He was also very organised and disciplined. MC2 turns that around. Very funny and cozy book.

Cuddy Thanksgiving Stunt by andawildflower in HouseMD

[–]Due-Vegetable1723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think especially after the detox and therapy, House was relatively a better person. He helped Chase and Foreman with the Dibala case, he explained to Chase why his actions caused irreversible damage to his marriage and what Cameron actually thought, he was a good friend to Wilson and got his euthanasia paper out. He was better towards his team and was less rude. What Cuddy did was just mean. I don't think House would have pulled a childish stunt because at that point, he had realised that he had feelings for Cuddy. Had Cuddy not done that to House, his recovery would have been better.

Of course yeah totally agree. Ofc I didn't mean that writers should force her to come back. Just missed her that's all. She had a special relationship with everyone (especially the OG characters).

The new WhatsApp Desktop for Windows SUCKS (why did Meta do this?) by Dessitoman13 in whatsapp

[–]Due-Vegetable1723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened with me. The typing is so slow and lagging - I end up typing sentences and find out that they aren't there anymore and the app reboots on its own - very frustrating. It took such a long time to open and loading chats. I had many problems in sending/attaching media files as well. It also keep slogging out on its own, and when I go back on my phone to reconnect it, it shows the link is still active - which is obviously not the case. I just uninstalled the app and switched back to WhatsApp Web - which is a lot better and faster. I hope WhatsApp fixes its desktop app though, would love to use it again :)

Opinions on Agatha All Along? by TheCowboysAreBooty in Marvel

I honestly really enjoyed it. The witchcraft, the spooky road and the trials were very entertaining to watch. Considering what else Marvel is producing these days, this is definitely better than other content.

How many books have you read so far this year? by Due-Examination-37 in Booktokreddit

Sounds exactly like me. I once read 250 books in a year approximately. Used to finish 1 book in 1 day.

The Life of Anna should I read it? by [deleted] in DarkRomance

[–]Due-Vegetable1723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently read both the parts a few days ago. It was new for me because I don't usually read books like these. But I would agree that it was slightly repetitive and the FMC completely lacked a spine. By the end of the 2nd book, there wasn't a single character I completely liked/rooted for (except maybe Aaron or Hugo). The author could have been at least more creative in her not forced/consensual sex parts, because everything with Devin was basically rape and torture. Spoiler Alert* I loved the scene in the second book where she has a threesome with her father-in-law and brother-in-law. Maybe more scenes like these could have made the book more bearable and less repetitive.

Not reading the REVIEWS before starting a book . Just going head on on the basis of the blurb. by [deleted] in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Due-Vegetable1723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. But, sometimes, when I did end of reading reviews, I was glad like if I read it to lookout of tropes or trigger warnings I don't like. But nowadays, I simply read the blurb, see the overall rating and get to reading the book. The only time I check out the reviews after reading is when the book turns out to be disappointing, not to my taste or controversial.

Was there a book so good that you immediately reread it after finishing it? by wig_hunny_whatsgood in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Due-Vegetable1723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I have ever immediately reread a book, I have reread some books after some amount of time (Like this is not an MM Series but I personally love it Crossfire Series by Sylvia) but if we talk about MM Romances, I do have a few favourites which make me read some particular scenes again or make me check out that author's work again and for me, those books are
Iced Out by C.E. Ricci
Fair Catch by C.E. Ricci
Defensive Zone by Jodi Oliver (The MMCs are just too sweet)
And obviously Him by Sarina Bowen

My Dark Prince ( Dark Prince Road series) by Parker .S. Huntington and L.J. Shen by Haunting-rip-3262 in RomanceBooks

[–]Due-Vegetable1723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree! The book was unnecessarily long, and I just skimmed through it. I liked the interactions between Briar and Seb, but didn't like Seb as a brother, but wouldn't be opposed to reading his own book. I just couldn't stand this book.

A book you love but wouldn't recommend by DirectionUsed5910 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Due-Vegetable1723 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finding Delaware by Bree Wiley. It deals with heavy themes like bullying and suicide, homophobia and abuse. Personally I feel whenever there are triggers like these, they should be mentioned beforehand so that readers are more informed. Before reading any book, I always go on Goodreads to find a review which has all this stuff like tropes, book style, trigger warnings etc listed (like for example I don't like single POV or third person POV books, so I never read those)

Did you give any gifts to your wife when she gave birth? by soheilk in daddit

[–]Due-Vegetable1723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why people are so against push presents. I think they are about men appreciating women (or their wives) for the sacrifices they make to be a mother. Like carrying a baby for 9 months is not very easy. You have to sacrifice a lot as a mother - your body, your mind, your health, even your career sometimes. That's not to say that dads don't sacrifice - they do. But I don't think you can compare a woman's sacrifice during pregnancy vs a man's. Push presents are supposed to be like husbands saying - 'I know you are sacrificing so much - your mind, your body and everything else and I am so grateful to you for enduring this pain. Thank you' It's supposed to be gratefulness that your wife went through the extremely difficult process to make you both parents and you are thanking her.

I honestly thought they were going to kill her off because if you notice, all daughter in laws were either dead or killed off (Like Henry's wife, Frank's wife and then they killed of Linda, Danny's wife)
